Hewitt was moved to 3AM pacific because of stunts. At the 2016 Iowa caucus day, he took the cowards approach and had a rep for a “Christian Hunting Retreat” for his whole show when there wasn’t any other national syndicaed show and folks wanted to talk about the caucus. He used the guy and blocked calls about the caucus not to promote the hunting retreat but because as a never trumper he was a jackass. As you all remember Cruz won Iowa narrowly. By 2020 he was Salem’s red eye host so no more shenanigans.
