Several top Republican lawmakers and energy industry groups blasted the Biden administration Wednesday after it announced aggressive regulations cracking down on gas-powered car emissions.
Critics of the sweeping emissions standards, unveiled Wednesday morning by the White House and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), argued the announcement revealed President Biden is seeking to effectively ban traditional gas cars in favor of electric vehicles (EV). The White House said the rules would "accelerate the clean vehicle transition" and reduce pollution by nearly 10 billion tons by 2055.

That will work for us only until the government bans the manufacture, distribution, and sale of gasoline and diesel - around 2035? And then, I guess it becomes Mad Max time where gasoline is more precious than gold.
Biodiesel or wood burners
Don’t tell that to the morons that the moronic voters have put in power. 🙄
For God’s sake and the nation’s it’s way past time to run these rats out of Congress on a rail!
True that. But don't forget the Dims' making electricity harder and harder to come by too. EV owners will be just as stranded as ICE owners.
And isn’t it odd that no one can provide a valid, scientific explanation of how a gas that is 0.4% (4 CO2 molecules; 9,996 other molecules) of the atmosphere can cause climate change? Morons.
Torched? Hardly.
More like they will just refuse re-registration of ICE cars. My wife’s home city in China did that with motorcycles. They just stop renewing registrations and within 3 years, no locally owned motorcycles on in the city. The current crowd in charge would pull the same at some point.
This is when a Congress ran by real Americans would FORCE Legislation banning the use of taxpayer funds for all fossil fuels if they are used for transportation of any kind.
“Cuba, here we come.”
Cuba, North Korea, Venezuela, Soviet Union...take your pick.
If this bastard entirely kills the petroleum industry, there will be NO WAY to power our military machines. The military fuel depends on the strength of the entire fossil fuel industry. If you take away all the consumer and trucker demand for gasoline and diesel, some major petroleum companies will go out of business leaving insufficient supply for the military.
As usual, these idiots have not thought anything through. Never mind the fact that there aren’t enough minerals in the earth’s crust to power their green wet dream.
The ENTIRE installed capacity of utility-scale batteries in the USA can power the country for less than 30 minutes. Without energy storage, wind and solar do not work.
“Blasted”
“Torched”
OK, ranting is good. But what about something concrete?
Blah blah blah, they are just virtue signaling.
Wake me up when the Republicans impeach Biden for selling oil from the SPR to our enemy and purposefully destroying infrastructure critical to National Security and our Military.
Hey, politicians are so stupid, they believe a B52 bomber can fly on wind power.
I love how they use superlatives like “torched”. It gives an illusion that something was said that had more than a fleeting effect. These people can talk all they want but torched does not come anywhere near the limpness of their ineffectual speeches. They are blathering at best. Joe Biden for one thing is as tenuous as a Republican congressman except that he is a front man in the greatest con in human history. His body is the focus of the superpower of America but his mind is only capable of reading from a teleprompter and not even really very good at that. Any argument short of articles of impeachment is mere posturing.
Doesn't seem to hamper the illegals around here. No tag no ticket. Cops just drive right on by.
shut up and get on the bus
most wont be able to afford the ev or the electricity
time to get in on the ground floor of
uber rickshaw
they promise the jetsons
you get the flintstones
