I am of the opinion that the Legislature should adopt a rule that any individual who is removed from office is removed until the next election cycle is sworn in.
He called a ethnically-Indian Republican “the brown face of white supremacy.”
Just play the clip on TV.
It should always be up to the electorate.
I, too, am *very*I wary of removing even the most vile elected representative by any means other than formal impeachment. Yes, it was disgusting when the Democrats stripped people of committee memberships, too.
Bad precedents all around. Never condone an action you would be upset if the opposition did.
This lawfare against Trump, stripping committee members of their positions *and* this expulsion, none of it is for the greater good of the Republic.
/eyeroll
Doesn’t matter to most Americans. Just matters that nasty racist republicans kicked the little dude out of office. Sad state of affairs.
If you read about the Action Francaise (grandaddy of all Fascist groups) you will see that these violent and lawless challenges are integral to finally removing duly elected representatives.
They would walk up to their opponents on the street and slap them in the face.... etc.
The direct followers of this political ‘style’ were the Black-shirts in Italy and the Hitler Youth in Germany. THEY were indulged at first, TOO
Not really, no.
We have FReepers who lambaste the decision to push these thugs out of their positions.
They never show even one damn bit of backbone when dealing with the left. Especially when they’re other than white, double especially when they’re black.
I’m sick and tired of the R’s being frikkin’ cowards when what we need now is pols who are willing to fight for a change.
“So in his days an unelected left-wing agitator, this man — then a divinity student — shoved police officers while accosting the Tennessee House Speaker, per police records, then allegedly hurled a cup of hot coffee at the man, striking his target and another GOP lawmaker. This conduct earned him a ban from the building. Democrats in Tennessee then decided it would be a good idea to nominate and elect Jones to that very chamber, where he flagrantly violated the rules,”
tHIS NEEDS SERIOUS AIR TIME EVERYWHERE.
Shazam!
This is who the white house supports. Remember, that sniffin’ joe sent his #2 to Tennessee to wail and moan, and to give support to the uncivilized brutes.
Haven’t you heard? Democrats are allowed three assaults on Republicans before they get their wrist slapped.
They are being PAID to be obnoxious and disrespectful of government. Classic Marxist.
