After a short stint in downtown San Francisco, the Whole Foods at 1185 Market St. is closing this week

Soon there won’t be any markets at all on Market street. Any legal markets, that is.
Aw shucks, now where else are addicts supposed to filch their health food?
Well, isn't that the entire town already?
RE: The company could not keep employees safe to/from and at work.
I know you’re right but I honestly question if the owners care. They are out for profit in a woke, Marxist country. Like Disney and the others.
I thought these liberal douchebags were only eating bugs anyway.
Yeah, for those crazy knuckleheads...
It wasn’t so much the theft, as that the shoplifters wanted to bring it back. “Sorry, all thefts are final.”
“Grand opening! Grand closing!” — Chris Rock
There are similar closures in other cities. Democrats can’t do the basics to survive.
The shoplifting and/or vandalism must have been horrible to make them shut everything down after one year.
It’s a very involved and expensive operation for a major retailer to open a new store to their specifications.
Whole Foods can be quite particular about how the store functions are laid out. They feature organic produce, you see, therefore they think they’re better than all the other grocers.
It will be interesting watching Dems try to “survive” in the coming years...me thinks this is only the beginning
Yikes! Back in the 1980's, there was a beautiful fountain in the civic park in front of City Hall, a couple blocks away from where Whole Foods is today. Until vagrants started bathing in it. The fountain was removed and filled in, and public bathrooms were closed in the park. In the 1990's the vagrants bathed in U.N. Plaza fountains across from where Whole Foods is today. Naked in full view of buses passing by, and the vagrants would take a dump at the curb on Market Street and wipe with newspapers. Even Jack-In-the-Box closed down nearby and left. So idiots in Whole Foods management decided "This is the place for us to build!". There is a tent city across the street of homeless, and lots of drug dealing. Built it in a great spot (not).
Insert “sad trombone sound” here.
“”I thought midnight basketball was the solution to this kind of thing””
Perfect. Let’s get a massive grant from the Obama / Biden Regime for 217 basketball hoops and backboards. Place them all throughout the building. Invite the homeless, the mentally ill, the downtrodden. Come one, come all to the cure for what ailes you. The San Francisco Homeless Industrial Complex did not just house bums in hotels during Covid. They actually DELIVERED alcohol and drugs to their rooms. The former store could be the mecca for every Social Worker and drug dealer in SF. If anyone actually picks up a ball and dribbles, rolls, or throws a ball, they will qualify for extra helpings of drugs and alcohol. Soon, other leftist creepozoid cities can model their services after SF.
Yes I’ve worked in the federal building at UN Plaza for 25 yrs. Was very surprised when that Whole Foods opened. Not surprised at all that it didn’t last even a year.
LOL!
I think that's the real question.
Is Twitter across the street that might’ve been an influence.
