On Easter Sunday, thousands of San Franciscans flocked to Dolores Park to worship a very different type of Jesus.
The Foxy Mary and Hunky Jesus contests are organized by the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a non-profit composed of queer and trans nuns that celebrated their 44th anniversary this weekend. As the name suggests, the day-long event showcases the body of Christ, with a series of drag shows, plenty of crass religious puns and a costume contest featuring roughly 100 participants.

While a generation of hippies and counterculture rebels gyrated to Dylan’s voice and music, the man behind the lyrics reveals he felt a prisoner in his own home where he packed a Colt pistol and Winchester rifle in fear of “rogue radicals”, according to excerpts from Dylan’s memoir.

I could be angry but I find myself saddened that people would mock and denigrate the good Lord Jesus, who loves them and died for them and who is their only hope.

They know better - The muslims know how to defend their values and beliefs. Christians, on the other hand, prefer turning their inexhaustible supplies of “other cheeks”... and they love to smack them.
Maybe Christians could learn a lesson from the muslims? Nah, not a chance.

Ancient Romans mocked Christ. Once a clown was picked to do a comedy parody to Mock Christ—to better understand Christ to make up joke, he learned of him, became a Christian and was killed for his conversion. Let them mock all they wish. The Church of Christ still exists, the Mighty Roman Empire does not. Long after America is forgotten, Christ will still be worshipped.
I expect the Lord’s rebuke in the form of another quake, as in 89, soon.
