Study: Catastrophic Climate Warnings Fail to Shift Attitudes
Breitbart ^ | 04/10/2003 | Simon Kent

A simulation based on apocalyptic images designed to highlight “the disastrous effects of climate change” had the opposite impact on those who viewed it and failed to shift attitudes, a study from Singapore Management University details.

The work was based on Hong Kong citizens being shown a life-like 3D depiction of a climate-induced six-metre storm surge on their city.

It sought to use virtual simulations of future extreme weather events to communicate climate change risk.

This sentence revealed 2 things. First, the study had an agenda, to scare people into supporting "climate action". Second, the study participants know bullshit when they see it.

People are beginning to realize a) you still can't change the weather and b) similar forecasts of doom (60s mantra of the coming ice age, etc) never came to pass.

Liberals can't wrap their pea brains around it, but even they are smart enough to realize it's a scam.

The worst case predictions expect the seas to rise a foot in hundred (100) years. Why bother?

When we see jackwagons like 0bama selling their beachfront properties on Martha's Vineyard at a loss to move to higher ground, maybe then I'll entertain their premises.

Until then, I'll ignore their gaslighting.

the sky is falling. c’mom man, believe it, please

And it's a good thing the sky is falling. Keeps the atmosphere glued to the Earth. All that CO2 falls and is absorbed by the oceans. Not a whole lot of CO2, only a tiny fraction of a small part of one percent of the atmosphere is CO2, and the oceans need it (and most plant life on Earth). Rising temperatures caused by the Sun, gravitational tidal forces, and electromagnetic interaction between planets influencing our magnetosphere, induce rises in CO2. And CO2 then falls as temperatures reduce, again caused by the Sun. Mankind is foolish to think we cause climate change (global warming).

CO2 levels are a LAGGING INDICATOR relative to temperature change and NOT a leading predictor.
That means CO2 levels DO NOT DRIVE TEMPERATURE INCREASE!!

Exactly true!

Study: Catastrophic Climate Warnings Fail to Shift Attitudes

After crying "wolf" 27 times I guess NO ONE is even listening to their PHONY pleas and predictions.

You can only cry “wolf!” so many times before folks begin to ignore you.

If only these climate panic activists could produce real evidence of the destruction they describe, I would listen.

Floods and droughts and plagues and earthquakes and heat waves and cold spells have been happening long before I drove a full size pickup and began cooking with gas. These events are normal, not evidence of change.

” Catastrophic Climate Warnings Fail to Shift Attitudes”

maybe “double-secret catastrophic climate warnings” would be more convincing ...
