Article 4, Section 11 is very clear. Gov. Abbott can't pardon until the Board of Pardons recommends it. Not every State works the same. The knee jerk, clownish reactions to headlines, without knowing what the facts are, really need to stop.

I understand some have questioned Abbot’s Conservative bona fides in the past. They may be justified in doing so. I don’t know. The last year or so he seems to be pretty good.

How often does the board that the governor appointed, go against the governor wanting a pardon?
I’d ask how Abbot could appoint a new board when this happens but it doesn’t happen-so I dgaf.
Maybe the testim9ny of the lead detective stating the DA hid exculpatory evidence from everyone will do the trick. The DA should be Nifonged.
