I am working as swiftly as Texas law allows regarding the pardon of Sgt. Perry.
I’m not blaming Abbot for this. If his hands are tied by a two-tiered system of justice in Texas, I get that.
The same two-tiered system of justice is being applied in DC with the innocent January 6 protesters rotting in jail while the killer of Ashley Babbit is honored as a hero.
People on FR try to blame President Trump for not pardoning them - as if he had a crystal ball - how absurd.
If the OP had simply said it was not Abbot’s fault, I would have agreed. To me, it sounded more like the OP was trying to justify the insanely slow process of getting a pardon for an innocent man - on the basis that the system was designed to put limits on government power. Again - absurd.
I’m all for limiting government power if it’s across the board - but that’s not what we’re seeing at all. We are seeing unlimited government power swiftly applied against innocent MAGA patriots, while BLM, ANTIFA and deep state proxy thugs commit real crimes and get a pass.
I get “access denied”. Thanks
The Boca Breeze had the best journalists and analysts. I miss them
Exactly!
Remove the DA, then go back into court and drop the charges. If teh judge won’t let you (as in the Flynn case), then pardon.
I posted the affidavit that at post #57
Austin has always ( since I transplanted from New York Shity. 36 years ago) been an odd ball place full of an assortment of individuals one would observe on a New York subway any hour of any day. Since COVID there has been a rapid increase of Moonie tunes and outright crazies setting up home all over Austin and unfortunately surrounding cities that use to be the heartland of Texas culture. Liberals were once tolerable but it seems to have spiralled downward. San Antonio is showing obvious signs of that Austin syndrome. Government officials are so weak in the wrist, it’s no wonder crime is escalating. All in all I still love Texas and swear to always keep my powder dry
Wait, am I late to the party?
I must admit, I misread an article just this week and put on my clown shoes and nose before posting.
huh...the guy just convicted!!!...geez, you guys, i tell ya...smh
“ Find a reason to charge the Soros DA, jail him pending trial and put into the general population. ”
Find a reason to charge EVERY Soros DA, jail them pending trial for sedition and treason. They swore an oath to office. Clearly they haven’t lived up to that oath. And do it at the state level. Under no circumstances do you want Garland and the DOJ involved.
A RINO granstand. He didn’t use the bully pulpit when the guy was charge, did he?
Point a pistol, or point an AK at a cop he will use every skill he has to kill you, as he should. Texas law gives a citizen the same right. This is a total miscarriage of justice by a left-wing prosecutor. The citizens of Austin elected this thug prosecutor. Those that voted for him deserve any criminal acts against them. Those that did not vote for him, should leave Austin ASP.
Amazing.
Thank you.
I hope the Soros DA gets taken down
