Putin prepares for an invasion of Crimea: Beaches are covered with trenches and tank traps to repel an amphibious landing as Zelensky 'prepares spring offensive'

Barricades and trenches have been built on beaches and close to key access routes in Crimea on a massive scale as Vladimir Putin is scared of losing the peninsula he annexed in 2014.

The level of fear is clear from the abundance of defences to stop a sea or land assault.

Dragon's teeth tank traps have been placed at strategic Ak-Monai beside the Taurida highway by occupying Russians to stop a Ukrainian bid to grab back the peninsula Putin took in 2014.

Beaches - one popular with both Russian and Ukrainian tourists as a favourite and glamorous summer playground - have been rendered virtually unusable, wiping out the Summer 2023 season.

Many will be totally empty.

The northern coastlines of Crimea are being defended most acutely amid the clearest signs Putin's military commanders see the peninsula as vulnerable.

Defensive artillery positions have been established.

This comes after a missile fired from Ukrainian-held territory was shot down over the Black Sea town of Feodosia, Crimea, this morning.

Sounds like reasonable precautions for all military contingencies.

Which is hilarious as the UA has no amphibian forces - They could cross the Kinburn Spit in river boats, but that’s far from the coast where the useless fortifications are - most likely was some one stealing.

It’s ironic that Russia is preparing defenses against an amphibious assault on Crimea after having to call off a similar planned assault of their own on Odesa earlier in the war.

The dictator is facing imminent economic carnage in the annexed peninsula's once money-spinning vacation industry as people refuse to heed official calls to make 'patriotic bookings' this summer. Bookings are now 80 per cent down on last year, which, in turn, was 30 per cent below pre-war levels, with hoteliers demanding state bailouts to compensate them for the cost of Putin's war.

All this probably fake “Ukraine counter-offensive” propaganda is having a good effect - occupy the Russians to worry about defensive preparations everywhere on the 1000 mile front.

Can’t be I have been advised for a year by geniuses here that Ukraine fell 10 months ago.

Putin is just preparing for the Summer volleyball season.

February 24, 2022 news report: "Initial reports of Russian airborne forces (VDV) taking Kyiv airport and naval infantry landing in Odesa now appear inaccurate..."

I wonder where these initial reports originated.

So, when this either isn't even attempted or fails miserably, then what?

Ukraine and NATO threw everything it had against the Wagner group in Bakhmut and lost. The Russians have ground the Ukrainian military down to a third its original size with only the militias of the LPR, DPR, Chechens and Wagner group doing the fighting on the ground.

But, you're the same moron that posted the same propaganda that claimed Putin was dead last May. Or that he was dying of blood, thyroid or stomach cancer.

It's all bullsh$t, Marky. And, this counteroffensive will end up making those that touted look like laughingstocks once again.

Total BS. Russia has been in control of this sector for a couple of years now. Blatant propaganda to shift the narrative in hopes of gaining sympathy. Not our war and Putty is our friend in this instance.

VDV tried a second paratrooper landing two days after the first wave of VDV accidently landed in the Black Sea and drown. And where did the second wave of VDV paratroopers land? In the middle of the Lower Dniester estuary lake! Closer to land but still over the water and still miles from Odessa. Most of them were machinegunned by the Ukrainians from the shore before they landed in the lake.
