On Wednesday, Democrat Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham signed S.B. 13, sponsored by Sen. Linda Lopez (D-Albuquerque), which bans the extradition of criminal abortionists and the sharing of information regarding such criminals with other states. The governor was joined by the sponsor and late-term abortion doctor Eve Espey of UNM School of Medicine at the bill signing.
Section 4 of the legislation reads, “It shall be a violation of the Reproductive and Gender-Affirming Health Care Protection Act to request from a third party, or for a third party to transmit information related to an individual’s or entity’s protected health care activity with the intent to: . . . (6) deter, prevent, sanction or penalize an individual or entity for engaging in a protected health care activity.”
According to New Mexico Alliance for Life (NMAFL), “This language expressly covers any pro-life communicative activity aimed at stopping abortion. It is hard to imagine a broader, more blatantly unconstitutional restriction. Note that it applies not just to the communications of pro-life groups, but also even to inquiries from pro-life individuals.”
Section 9 of the bill expressly exempts from extradition criminal fugitives who commit or conspire to commit illegal abortions, so long as the perpetrator remains in New Mexico during the commission of the crimes.
S.B. 13 would isolate New Mexico from other states, as many pro-life legislators pointed out during the debate of the legislation.
The measure passed the state Senate by a vote of 26-16 and narrowly passed the House by a vote of 38-30.
Democrat Sen. Pete Campos of Las Vegas was the lone vote against the measure in the Senate.

NM is gone; it’s total blue.
So do we need a Fugitive Abortionist Act now?

Yes but if we let them go, maybe they will eventually vote themselves in to extinction..... they will murder all their babies and then die out
I just hope we don’t get hit by collateral damage when God smites Santa Fe and Albuquerque.
which bans the extradition of criminal
The Federal courts will slap this down immediately, at least they should. The Constitution is crystal clear on States requirements to “deliver criminals” to the State they committed the crime in.
A Person charged in any State with Treason, Felony, or other Crime, who shall flee from Justice, and be found in another State, shall on Demand of the executive Authority of the State from which he fled, be delivered up, to be removed to the State having Jurisdiction of the Crime.

Too many others are following blindly.
I could never understand the blindness of the pagans in the OT, or the Pharisees in the NT....but it seem to persist to this day.

NM is gone; it’s total blue!
One of my wife’s church friends is a relatively new widow.
She was thinking of relocating to NM to be near her sister, bils and other relatives.
We suggested to visit first for a couple of weeks in Dec..
She lasted a week. Every relative is a damn democrat.
We told her, that here, she could pick her friends and in NM, there was no choice.
She is staying here.
Smart lady.
Good thinking...
It is, and TX, AZ are going that route.
SECTION 9. Section 31-4-6 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 1937, Chapter 65, Section 6) is amended to read: "31-4-6. EXTRADITION OF PERSONS NOT PRESENT IN DEMANDING STATE AT TIME OF COMMISSION OF CRIME.
--The governor of this state:
A. may also surrender, on demand of the executive authority of any other state, any person in this state charged in such other state in the manner provided in Section 31-4-3 NMSA 1978 with committing an act in this state, or in a third state, intentionally resulting in a crime in the state whose executive authority is making the demand. The provisions of the Uniform Criminal Extradition Act not otherwise inconsistent shall apply to such cases, even though the accused was not in that state at the time of the commission of the crime and has not fled therefrom; and
B. shall not arrest or deliver a person if the charge is based on engaging in a protected health care activity, pursuant to the provisions of the Reproductive and Gender-Affirming Health Care Protection Act, including a charge based on vicarious, joint or several liability or conspiracy, unless the executive authority of the demanding state alleges in writing that the accused was physically present in the demanding state at the time of the commission of the alleged offense and that thereafter, the accused fled from the demanding state."

Pretty hard to perform an abortion without being present, so I think it will be struck down unless the Constitution is Null and Void, which, for all intents and purposes it almost is already
When Jason Whitlock talked about a national divorce or secession of states on Tucker Carlson’s show last night this type of law is exactly what he was talking about, NM is basically saying screw everyone else who doesn’t believe in infanticide
I saw that segment, too.
