"There is no substitute for victory:In Florida, we have a culture of winning..."
Trump supported Ronna Romney. Fact. If he did blame Ronna, the Trump Enthusiasts would accuse him of hating Trump.
For one I would hope they are leaving the circular firing squad.
The problem with DeSantis, and probably most voters, is this. Regardless that FN wants everybody to wrongly believe that the Oval Office is the most powerful peacetime government office in the land, it is the governor's offices that the drafters of the Constitution gave the lion's share of government power to serve the people with, not the feds.
"They form a portion of that immense mass of legislation, which embrace every thing in the territory of a state not surrendered to the general government [emphasis added]. Inspection laws, quarantine laws, and health laws, as well as laws for regulating the internal commerce of a state, and others, which respect roads, fences, &c. are component parts of state legislation, resulting from the residuary powers of state sovereignty. No direct power over these is given to congress, and consequently they remain subject to state legislation, though they may be controlled by congress, when they interfere with their acknowledged powers." —Justice Joseph Story, Article I, Section 10, Clause 2, 1833.
”Simply this, that the care of the property, the liberty, and the life of the citizen, under the solemn sanction of an oath imposed by your Constitution, is in the States and not in the federal government [emphases added]. I have sought to effect no change in that respect in the Constitution of the country.” —John Bingham, Congressional. Globe. 1866, page 1292 (see top half of third column)
In other words, we don't want governors to take the state powers that they used to make their states thrive with them into the constitutionally limited power Oval Office and use those powers to likewise make the nation thrive. That idea is pure Hollywood and is why everybody is now being oppressed under the boots of unconstitutionally big federal government under the tyranny of corrupt, constitutionally undefined political parties.
More specifically about federal government's constitutionally limited powers, if a given federal social spending program is not reasonably related to the US Mail Service, the mail service being one of the very few powers that the states have expressly constitutionally given to the feds to dictate federal domestic policy, then the program is probably unconstitutional and needs to be discontinued.
"Article I, Section 8, Clause 7: To establish Post Offices and post Roads;"
"From the accepted doctrine that the United States is a government of delegated powers, it follows that those not expressly granted, or reasonably to be implied from such as are conferred, are reserved to the states, or to the people. To forestall any suggestion to the contrary, the Tenth Amendment was adopted. The same proposition, otherwise stated, is that powers not granted are prohibited [emphasis added]." —United States v. Butler, 1936.
In fact, both Democratic and Republican patriots need to get their constitution-impaired state lawmakers up to speed with the federal government's constitutionally limited power to appropriate taxes so that the states can eliminate the middleman, the unconstitutionally big federal government, from "helping" the states to manage their revenues by repealing the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments.
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
“If the tax be not proposed for the common defence, or general welfare, but for other objects, wholly extraneous, (as for instance, for propagating Mahometanism among the Turks, or giving aids and subsidies to a foreign nation, to build palaces for its kings, or erect monuments to its heroes,) it would be wholly indefensible upon constitutional principles [emphases added].” — Justice Joseph Story, Commentaries on the Constitution 2 (1833).
So if DeSantis wants to serve the most people that he can under the Constitution, he needs to keep his governor's job and not try to get himself elected to the constitutionally limited power Oval Office.
No, he couldn’t beat the corrupt PA machine. Same in GA with Walker. Gov Kemp is a closet Dem.
In 2016 Trump won Pennsylvania, how come 6 years later no Republican can win statewide ?? Cheating is part of it, but bad candidates and a ineffective Republican Party are the main culprits.
Keep justifying all bad decisions Trump makes and Democrats will rule the country more so than they do now.
... and apologizing.
“In 2016 Trump won Pennsylvania, how come 6 years later no Republican can win statewide ??”
Ha, ha... the normal rate of vote change between presidential elections in PA is around 20,000 more dem voters (population growth). However, in 2020 Dems magically picked up over 400,000 thousand new voters. They needed this many new voters to steal the election from Trump.
If you think a demented old fool stuck in a basement inspired this many new black voters whom he insulted weekly you’re delusional. Biden beat Obama’s numbers in the black community by over 30%. Not real, it is so sad you can’t see it.
I do see it what is sad is you can’t see the Republicans are doing nothing to counteract the situation other than complain about it and criticize other people trying point out the truth
As long as we have the current RNC which Trump handpicked Republicans will continue to lose and as I mentioned Trumps can raise one billion dollars, it won’t matter because he will lose.
He has to win Georgia, Arizona and Wisconsin to have any chance because Michigan and Pennsylvania are likely impossible
Like any squishy RINO make great decisions?
Let the Primary play out.
Trump got more votes than any former Republican presidential
contender you moron. It was by about five million votes.
A man who lived in a basement with his mother/wife, made
about half a dozen campaign appearances that year, with
total attendees smaller than an NFL football roster.
He was relatively unknown, had no personality whatsoever
and outdrew Hillary Clinton and The One, by wide margins.
There was absolutely no sign of pre-election swell for
Biden. His popularity was in the tank. His physical
condition was out in the open, and hardly anyone thought
he was fit to be president.
So who do you criticize? Trump.
If there was an awards show for dumb-asses on FR, you’d
won the Oscar this year, hands down.
