NASA announced last week that it hired “two diversity champions” to advance the agency’s diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility initiatives “for the benefit of all humanity.”
According to a press release published on March 27, NASA named Steve Shih the agency’s first diversity ambassador and Elaine Ho the associate administrator for the Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity at NASA’s headquarters in Washington.
NASA Administrator Bill Nelson stated, “Now, more than ever, NASA is leading all of humanity on an unprecedented journey of discovery, exploration and innovation.”
“To be successful in our missions, diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility must continue to be at the forefront. Steve and Elaine’s leadership will help NASA continue to ensure our workforce reflects all of America and to inspire partners throughout our nation – for the benefit of all humanity,” he added.
Shih will be responsible for “building key strategic alliances with external partners,” including those within other government agencies, the private sector, academia, and non-governmental organization, which will allow the agency to be a “model” and “leader” for DEI initiatives. Additionally, Shih will “learn and promote best practices for NASA to recruit, hire, engage, and retain the most talented individuals from all backgrounds and life experiences.”

Instead of DEI, social justice or other commie garbage, what they should be doing is focusing on exploring the universe.
I saw this starting in the Federal department I was with. I retired last year.
Can’t wait for the movie!
The government wasting taxpayer dollars again.
Just don’t let them do anything related to the missions in any technical sense.
we’ll know who to blame when rockets start blowing-up on the launch pad.
Wonderful. Diversity, inclusion, and equity are a precursor to squalor, violence and lawlessness.
DEI sounds more like crash & burn to me . . .
What complete and utter bullshit.
Yes, we will. When the math needs to be done and done right, reality is not going to treat these woke fantasies lightly.
A champion is someone willing to fight and die for you in your place.
These deviants are not champions.
Maybe we’ll get to use all the nifty tech they came up with in Wakanda...
A cage full of parrots would be as useful
To be successful in our missions, diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility must continue to be at the forefront.
That “ho” huh? SMDH!
No! Not NASA too! It’s like watching everyone you thought you knew turning into another babbling, doddering, bug eyed Zombie.
You keep thinking, eventually, they will by coming after you since you’re not like them.
The federal government is attempting to create a meritless based government and society asap.
We have a diversity launch standing by. Artemis something or another with two diversity hires just to orbit the moon. Diversity is spelled M.O.O.N.
