If the Afghans can throw russia out hiding behind rocks and living in caves I have 100% confidence in the Ukrainians
Orkrainians aren’t Afghanis.
Second, The guys bungling the withdrawal from Afghanistan obviously weren’t our best over the last 6 or so years, and Afghanistan, with its numerous cave systems, is different topography.
Ukraine is flat territory, not mountains. However the average Uke looks a lot like the average Rus, so infiltration is easier.
The big thing is supplies. Can the Ukraine get the money, arms, and training to run a terrorism campaign? What happens to those who support that type of campaign?
A Russian blogger was blown up by a Ukrainian woman recently. That is how this is going. However the Russians are not constrained by what is considered moral in war, and I expect further escalation.
There is no clean way to end this war, and a great chance it becomes a bleeding ulcer for a while. Till the area is depopulated again.
