LSU star Angel Reese called a suggestion from first lady Jill Biden that they might invite both LSU and Iowa's women's basketball teams to the White House "A JOKE" on Monday.
Speaking on Monday, Biden congratulated both teams on their performance in Sunday's national championship game, as well as specifically highlighting Iowa's sportsmanship.
"Last night I attended the NCAA women's basketball championship," said Biden, while speaking at an event at the Colorado State Capitol in Denver.
We will invite the winner to the White House, we always do. So, we hope LSU will come but, you know, I'm going to tell Joe [Biden] I think Iowa should come, too, because they played such a good game."
It is traditional for the national champions to be invited to the White House, but not for the runners-up. Reese tweeted a link to the story which included Biden's comments, calling it "A JOKE" along with three rolling-on-floor-laughing emojis.
In a comment on an Instagram post which included Reese's tweet, the recently crowned NCAA champion said: "WE NOT COMING. period."

Kind of want a decent 6’10” male power forward to pretend to be a woman and join a women’s college team just to see the reaction from an Angel Reese. She’s 6’3” and plays center for LSU because she’s taller than most of her female peers.
Call in with a dose of “LSU flu”.

Listening to them being interviewed nowadays with their lazy ebonics is disgusting.
Just the thought Jill said (whether she does or not) she’ll mention it to Joey to invite Iowa also, is enough for the LSU champs to vote and deny the invite.

Colleges don’t even pretend to educate their low-IQ athletes, do they? If they have a pulse and can win a game, they’re in. Drooling? No problem. Grammar ... LOL!
I’m Already sick of Reese’s ghetto act. She’s free not to attend. In the presser after the game though it was the same old ‘keeping it real’ and ‘just being myself’ bs. She can eff off. That’s just me keeping it real and just being myself.
Ask James Brooks or Dexter Manley, about that.
They’re all adults, Joe wouldn’t be interested.
I don’t know if she is or not, LSU won the title and Champions get invited to the White House, not who finishes in 2nd place.
The controversy with this young woman is overblown IMO, the Iowa player who is fantastic did the same hand gesture to a South Carolina player in the Semifinals that Angel Reese did to her and then showed her the ring finger indicating where the ring was going and it wasn’t on her hand.
My point is, trash talking is part of the game, if you dish it out, you had better expect it in return, especially when you’re getting your butt kicked which is what LSU was doing to Iowa.
