Bells are time keepers. Prayers are not.

That is what makes this perverse.

A radical moslem wants to kill infidels. A moderate moslem wants radicals to kill infidels.

But these mosques all are so unattractive. The exteriors look like warehouses and the insides look like Holiday Inn conference rooms. They are quite plain, often ugly.

There’s photos of this particular mosque online. Its like every other one I have seen in NY, Philadelphia, Miami, etc...

My comment sounds mean and nasty, but I don’t really mean it that way.

I understand there are some very large and beautiful mosques in the world built by sultans and princes.

I understand too this is because Muslims and Christians have completely different views about what worship spaces should look like, indeed, what “worship” even is, totally different concepts of “art,” man’s ability to imagine the divine, and what God allows man to know of his nature.

But I simply compare, for example, the neighborhood church built by poor German Bavarian immigrants who came to our city in the 1870s (which has fallen into disuse because their grandchildren all moved to the suburbs) vs. the mosques being built in the same area now.

Years ago I was flying from Europe to East Africa and I had to change planes in Cairo. While waiting for my flight to board I saw a goat being led around.

I drive pretty regularly between Boston and NYC. I love the Merritt Parkway so I use it driving down and I use I-84 driving back. Driving through Waterbury,CT one can easily see a huge mosque right there along the highway.

Ugly doesn't even begin to describe it.Neither does disgusting.

The first one at the crack of dawn will be the one that will get some ahem attention. The others during the day less so....background noise.

Imagine the outrage for a Catholic church to loudspeaker the rosary prayers 5 times a day. Throw in a few measures of Westminster Quarters in the bell tower for good measure.

I wonder if they’ll put loudspeakers at the WTC ground zero.

That would drive me crazy! Oh wait, maybe that is whats wrong about assimilation.
Don’t want no crazies getting me crazy.

Need rappers in their country. See how they like that ‘loud and proud’, 5 times a day.

Muslims act Muslim around other Muslims. I had a Muslim boss and his favorite food was Bacon Cheeseburgers. Pork wasn’t allowed in the house growing up. MINO is a real thing. If you see a hijab around town, they are likely Kuwaiti or Saudi. Iranian women leave those things on the plane when they come over.
My boss was basically a Muslim redneck. Big truck, played football and all. He grew up in a low-income area of the state. When he became a citizen, the interviewer asked him if he spoke English and he responded in a Southern drawl “You mean ya’ll give citizenship to people that can’t speak English?!”
