The Trump case is not about paying hush money to keep women quiet. Rather, Trump is being indicted for a campaign finance violation. It is alleged that Trump violated campaign contribution laws by using his own money to keep Stormy Daniels quiet with an NDA. He was supposedly helping his own campaign by using his own money rather than campaign funds.

But if he used campaign funds, it would have also been a violation of campaign finance laws. Pure garbage. And the statute of limitations has been exceeded.
