Jeb’s a funny guy. Yes, he got this one right. I don’t think Jeb was ever meant to be in politics. He was born into a powerful, ambitious political family and did what the family expected of him. But his heart’s never been in it. Trump expressed it best when he said, during the 2016 primary campaign, “Jeb’s not happy”. That was an inciteful comment on Trump’s part. Jeb doesn’t enjoy politics and would have probably been happier doing something else with his life.
Your probably right.
I lived in Florida when Jeb was governor. Other than the Terry Schiavo case I found him to be a very good governor.
I have heard that Jeb was the Bush son George H.W. Bush was pushing to run for president. Timing was projected to be the election of 2000 when Clinton would be leaving office and Jeb would have served at least one full term as governor of Florida. . However, Jeb lost his first race for Governor of Florida in 1994. The same year Jeb’s brother George W. Bush won his race for Governor of Texas. This put him ahead of Jeb for the 2000 presidential run even though Jeb did win the 1998 campaign for governor of Florida.
You may be right.
Incite-ful? Or Insight-ful?
Freudian slip on what was really the goal (goad?) of the “Jeb isn’t happy” comment?
