Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas again refused to call the ongoing situation at the southern border a "crisis" in an interview, claiming that admitting the situation was a crisis would indicate a "withdrawal from our mission."
Mayorkas was asked during an interview with "60 Minutes" whether he viewed the ongoing situation at the border -- which saw a record 1.7 million migrant encounters in FY 2021 and more than 2.3 million in FY 2022 -- as a crisis.
"I view it as a significant challenge," Mayorkas said, echoing the answer he has given to that question on multiple occasions.

Interestingly, the MSM seems to agree with this lying POS that it's just a "significant challenge," regardless of how many people dying or being raped.
I guess it's only a crisis when there is a Republican President and we have illegal aliens "caged" at the border . . .

Folks are welcome to debate funding Ukraine, alternative energy subsidies or whatever waste by the feds.
Why is no one talking about the cost of the invasion?
10,000,000 illegals, so far, in 2.5 years, with another 10,000,000 to come.
Every one is going to cost us,at least, $1,000,000, not counting the kids they have, while here.
That's $20 Trillion, by my math.
They will never leave.
They will be permanant parasites.

The population of Houston, TX is 2.3 million. That is how much infrastructure it takes to support 2.3 million people. Biden and Mayorkas have welcomed with open arms more than twice that many illegals across our southern border in 2 years and a couple of months. We do not have the infrastructure to support them.
When all you do is lie, it creates a heavy mental strain on a person trying to remember all those lies. When you tell the truth, there is nothing to remember. Mayorkas looks like death warmed over. The web of lies is taking its toll on him. His life must be miserable. I hope so.
A nation that refuses to protect its borders cannot sustain it sovereignty. This is becoming more apparent by the day. I never cease to be astonished why Democrats vote against their own best interest—Joe Biden and John Fetterman are prime examples.

The GOP has talked about impeaching Mayorkas. They always talk a lot. An impeachment would be a worthless endeavor as the Democrats control the Senate. Also, Republicans don’t want to be characterized as antisemitic. The rules apply to Garland, Yellen, Blinken, Rachel Levine etc etc.

Same thing for two years. Either impeach him and the Big Guy or fold up the Republican tent and go home.

If not a crisis then maybe a messy fiesta? A welcome to America street festival that got out of hand? A Democratic voter registration drive?

I get your points, but by failing to even attempt holding anyone accountable, even for egregious and unlawful behavior, Republicans only solidify their image of being weak and unprincipled (which of course they are).
Their empty talk just reinforces the supposition that they’re really part of the Uniparty (which of course they are).
Mayorkas is so uniquely destructive to this country’s social cohesion, security and welfare that not even making a symbolic effort to hold him accountable invites even more of the immigration morass. At some point Republicans need to stand up to wrongdoing, otherwise why vote for them?
It is THEY who create the expectation of action by their false promises and empty rhetoric. In other words they are just a bunch of disingenuous liars who stand by while the country burns.

I see the cost of this invasion every night in the hospital emergency room I work in. The great majority, in fact all of them a Hispanic. Illiterate, uninsured and often pugnacious in their sense of what they feel is owed to them by ''Los Blancos'', the Whites. And they hate us. I've worked with Hispanics for years in two industries , construction and health care. And while they will put up a front of being cheery, humble industrious the mask slips from time to time and they really do hate us. The Mexicans in particular are the most hateful and the dumbest. The really stupid among them think America is a land of endless free stuff that flows like the sun and they're entitled to it. I'm one American who will, NEVER forget May 1, 2006 when hundreds of thousands of them marched in the streets all across this nation waving their damn buzzard rag and yelling "Si Se Peudeo!'', "Yes We Can'', the barely contained subtext being "Yes Gringo we can march in your street waving the Mexican flag in your face and there's nothing you can do about it!''. You're 100% correct in saying they're welfare parasites. They learned a long time ago that there's no need to bust their humps when they can get welfare and do far better on that then they ever could in their own country and by God do they get mouthy when they think they're not entitled to it, which by law they're not. They pull billions out of this nations economy every years, some $44 billion by most accounts. All the while getting free health care and free education, none of which they ever paid for. But last night in my hospitals ER a Hispanic couple came in with an infant who couldn't have been more than six or seven months if that. The child had bacterial meningitis, the most lethal of this disease and the most contagious. The doctors and nurses did every thing they could and they are a VERY dedicated staff. But the child died. I have seen death before in the other two emergency rooms I worked in, I saw violent death once when I worked in NYC many years ago. I saw tow Black guys fighting over something on the corner of 6th. Ave and 42nd Street. One of them pulled a knife and plunged i into the other guys chest. The dude was dead before he hit the ground. But I had never witnessed the death of a child. I was shaken by it I must say. So were some of the nurses, most of them young women. Very caring and sweet young women dedicated to their profession I had to step back from my politics and realize an innocent child had been taken. Such innocents aren't responsible for the decisions of their parents and any compassionate person would feel sympathy. I'm still somewhat shaken by it today. But in the final analysis the flood of illegals into our country, our home by people too uncaring to fix their own countries, lands rich in natural resources resources and climates suitable for growing every plant and vegetable God put on their need to take responsibility for the land God gave them and FIX them! God damn for their attitude that their coming uninvited and unwanted by Americans who don't want them here or who at the very least want them to come here legally and not feel they're entitled to any special rights or benefits. The success of The United States is not the reason for the failure of Mexico and Central American countries. The people who live in these countries are. But sadly I feel they never will do that and as you said they're here and they're not going to leave.

It’s not a crisis because it’s part of the plan to destroy the country and he is part of it.
