The goal is to keep the pendulum from ever swinging again. Democrats think that things will never change. BUT History tells us that things do change in ways they do not expect. The French Aristocrats (who paid no taxes) never thought they would face justice from the mob and their guillotine. They thought the army would protect them and the palaces. The streets of New York may well be covered in blood when things go south and this time there will be no friendly nation to flee too. No Scarlet Pimpernel to save them.
