No coincidence. Satan is showing us his power by throwing the life of Trump in our face as we begin the sorrowful season of remembering how our Savior was led to slaughter. But we have a victory over evil that cannot be undone for Christ is resurrected from death. Christ grinds satan into the dust with his heel. Christ has the victory over evil.
As we are founded in this great truth, as we are faithful to our heritage, as we live out the salvation of life over death, so shall we have the victory over evil that the Lord, our God, offers us.
As a nation we have claimed to be God’s people. We must stand on that claim and not waver. We will not be driven down by the terror of evil. We will remain strong and filled with the righteous spirit of Christ who lives in us and in our nation.
We claim Christ as our Saviour and the source of Hope for our nation. Let His judgment roll down as a mighty river and wash away the sin that seeks to devour us.
Let us stand in His Spirit in victory over the evil that now engulfs us. Let us not lose heart but be noble and beautiful and brave as we stand against all the tyrannies of Satan.
In Christ we stand. We can do no other!
