One of two Iowa teenagers charged in the 2021 fatal beating of their Spanish teacher over a bad grade will cooperate with prosecutors, it was revealed Wednesday in court.
Jeremy Goodale has agreed to testify against his former friend Willard Miller, although it was not immediately clear if the arrangement is part of a plea deal, according to the Des Moines Register.
Jefferson County Attorney Chauncey Moulding made the surprising disclosure during a hearing in which Miller's lawyers argued that evidence against the pair should be suppressed because their constitutional rights had been violated.

The first canary to sing gets the deal.
“Okay, if you testify against your buddy, I’ll get you a half-sentence deal. If not, it’s probably life in prison.”
“I’ll testify.”
“Great... oh, I forgot to say that you’ll be cellmates with your buddy.”
” I guess I watch too much Investigation discovery channel.”
I’m an IDTV addict too.
What is your favorite show? Mine is calls from the inside
They are going to have to start giving teachers hazard pay.
The State requests Death, your honor.
I like most all, but I would say “Body Cam” and “American Monster”.
Both boys have ruined their lives before even turning 20 years of age.
It won’t be as in that historic case of Sacco and Vanzetti, where they go through all manner of appeals.
The evidence is clear.
Evil lives here is great also
Willard doesn’t look the least bit bothered
At least Goodall shows signs of shame if not remorse
Yes!
She was walking in a park, they dragged her into the woods and beat her with a baseball bat. Pure evil. Not just a punch to knock her down. These guys are monsters.
I figured the 2 teens are white since this thread isn’t full of “dindunuffin”, “amish”, and “usual suspects” posts.
Dateline is hands-down the best true crime show. 48 Hours is hit and miss lately. They do a lot of domestic violence cases, which are boring and not whodunnits.
ID has a few good shows. I prefer ones w less cheesy reenactments and the ones that interview the detectives.
My favorites are: Paula Zahn—she’s done quite a few genealogy cases. American Monster—good cases, but a lot of reenactment. Disappeared—interesting cases. It’s amazing how many people just disappear. See No Evil— one of their best shows. Cases solved by videotape. Some are rather chilling.
The downside to these shows—some feature the same cases you’ve seen on other shows. You start watching and realize you’ve seen it.
She didn’t give them a trophy?
