Why America Will Lose this War As every one Since WWII
Armstrong Economics ^ | 30 Mar 23 | Martin Armstrong

Posted on 03/30/2023 11:58:43 AM PDT by delta7

A number of people have asked why does Socrates say that the United States will lose this war. One states: “The standalone American firepower without UK/ France, etc, itself is tremendous. How does Socrates say that America will lose the war? It may lose financially. The Chinese have the worst track record in any war.” Perhaps I should just say, cyclically – it’s just TIME.

The Neocons are in charge of this war. They are trying conventionally for their constant goal of REGIME CHANGE. They are doing what Khrushchev had threatened Communism would win and we will bury you. This is their mantra and they think forcing a Republican form of government upon the rest of the world will bring peace. Those were the dreams of Hitler and Napoleon as well. Communism collapsed because it is simply unsustainable. Nevertheless, the Neocons have never backed down. They objected to Reagan even meeting with Gorbehev saying you can never trust Russians. The Neocons have pushed endless wars for their hatred. They have NEVER won a single war.

The US has lost EVERY war post WWII. Korea was a standoff, and Vietnam, along with Afghanistan were all losses and for what? They remove Saddam Husein and unleashed ISIS where Saddam kept the religious fanatics in check. Their theory was to remove all dictators in the Middle East and that would bring peace to Israel. They supplied arms and that led to the overthrow of Quadaffi in Libya and they were trying the same in Syria.

Now Nukes are no longer a deterrent when you are playing with nuclear powers. They have used Ukraine as cannon fodder to weaken Russia and they hope they can then invade under any excuse and conquer Russia, which has been their end goal for decades. They bank on that they can defeat Russia and it will never go nuclear.

I am flabbergasted by some of these Neocons and their sheet hatred of the Russian people like Adam Kinzinger who proclaims we can defeat Russia in 3 days. I suppose we could then turn and defeat China perhaps in 5 days. These people play with the lives of innocent civilians and send other people’s sons and daughters to war to be sacrificed for their personal hatred. The claim Putin is evil but never look in the mirror to see the hatred in their own eyes.

Robert McNamara (1916 – 2009) was a leading Neocon that pushed the country into the Vietnam war. He was famous for saying: “I learned early on never answer the question that is asked of you. Answer the question that you wish had been asked of you. And quite frankly, I follow that rule. It’s a very good rule.”

Before he died, he finally admitted that they were wrong particularly in their assessment of Russia as a threat. The perception that Russia is a threat is still dominating the agenda today. The propaganda that Putin is a KGB guy who wants to re-establish the Soviet Empire is absurd. In the 22 years that he has been in power, he has neither tried to re-establish communism nor has he sought to retake the old Soviet states like Poland, the Czech Republic, or even Ukraine. The same claims today about Russia are the very same ones that justified Vietnam.

Apparently, McNamara died with the guilt of sacrificing 58,000 Americans on the Neocon altar of war for at the end of his life, he admitted they were wrong. They are NOT Americans. They DO NOT serve American interests. They only serve their own International interests and are dragging countries into endless wars and carnage.

While these neocons only focus on war, they are destroying the United States economy. They are pouring money into this undeclared war on Russia when in fact the Constitution states that ONLY Congress can declare war – not the President.

The United States will lose the war, and we are losing our title of Financial Capital of the World. Just as WWI & WWII took that title away from Britain, WWII will take it from the United States and hand it squarely into the arms of China.

Than the warmongering Neocons for destroying your future all because of their personal hatred.

I guess I’ll need more that this guy’s Socrates or unexplained predictions.

I’ll stick with the idea we need to get the USA fixed NOW - Trump is definitely helping - by DISMANTLING the $3 trillion unconstitutional portion of the feds AKA the “Deep State” AKA the “Swamp.”

So now, Clintons, Kerrys, Bidens, Soros, Schwab, Nuland, Vindman, Milley, Pyatt and other Democrats are neocons.

Who’d-a-thunk-it!

Correct. Anyone who is not a Chomsykite fruitcake is a “neocon”.

The sad fact is that all we have to do is cut all economic ties with China. Period. Full stop.

It would wreck their economy and it would harm ours, but in reality it would be cheaper and not costs the lives of our young people like an all-out war would.

We could even force Europe to cut ties OR we could offset the costs to us by leaving NATO if they refused. Harsh? Probably, but what are tens or hundreds of thousands of our young people worth to us?

We don’t have to “fight” China. We have a certain remedy that will wreck them and there is only one flawed individual with a chance of being in charge that understands this. Trump.

Well, that is good and well except if you have to take a medication to stay alive. There are made in China and we don’t have any plan to make it different. We have been horrendously stupid to give her manufacturing base to China. Now they have the power. And our politicians are being paid to give it to them.

“Why America Will Lose this War As every one Since WWII”

The moment that our ‘sanctions’ failed, we lost the war. The rest is just mopping up by Russia.

But in the end it’s a good thing, as the Neocons were NEVER going to get Ukraine, particularly Crimea, without a nuclear response to deal with.

“Neocon” is just a way of saying “poopyhead” while deluding oneself that one is some kind of foreign policy genius.

I agree with you. I also don’t waste my time on dingbats that think we can go cold turkey from China, as they OBVIOUSLY have never seen what goes on in the Port of Long Beach, for example.

I’m temped to say they’re trolling, but it’s more like they see the American Flag as a symbol that NOTHING can harm us, regardless of how stupid our leaders may be. If we had that attitude in the 1940s, we’d be speaking German.

It is not nearly as hard to make pharmaceuticals as people make it out to be. High end computer chips (those made in Taiwan) are much more difficult than pharmacological products.

If it were up to me we would put on a full-court press to divest ourselves of China. Yes, there will be some issues, but people are not thinking logically given that many believe we will be in a hot war with China.

Do you think we will be importing hundreds of container ships into West coast ports if we are in a shooting war with them? The obvious answer is no.

We must use the leverage we have and find ways around the inevitable problems that will come about either way that avoids a war where our children and grandchildren die.

I personally believe that the oligarchs in China would far rather avoid losing access to US markets than they would to take Taiwan. China has leverage on us and we have leverage on them since our economies are very intertwined, but I would argue that we have more.

Or perhaps we are people who have seen war, who have children, and who understand that conflict with China will cost us trillions of dollars either way.....

India has enough capacity on pharmaceuticals along with Europe, Mexico, and the US/Canada that we could quickly replace pharmaceuticals. The people who tell you different are the ones most interested in the profit margins vs the ability.

Again.... my point is that those ships WILL NOT be docking in Long Beach if we get in a hot war with them anyways so let’s openly talk about foregoing the bloodshed and use something besides gunpowder to prevent it.

“India has enough capacity on pharmaceuticals along with Europe, Mexico, and the US/Canada that we could quickly replace pharmaceuticals.”

90% of the base chemicals India uses to manufacture drugs come from China.

And by the way, it’s you blabbing about going to war against China.

The rest of us wouldn’t mind disengaging from them, but not doing it in a TOTALLY IDIOTIC way, as we did when we decided to start a war against Russia, or left Afghanistan.

It’s actually China blabbing about going to war. We are not intent on invading Taiwan or at least Biden hasn’t brought that up yet to my knowledge.

China is talking a big game. My point is that we need to use all the power we have and make plans for it immediately in case we are forced to decouple from them due to their behavior (not ours).

We have Admirals and others in our government warning about war with China.

I don’t want to go to war, but if they are going to push it and we end up there anyways your medication will be disrupted anyways.

The blood of my children is most important and I think it is a matter of national security that we start planning now just in case. I am the last person who wants to go to war with China or anyone else for that matter.

It is amazing that we even got to this point in our nations history where we all feel reliant on a belligerent communist nation, but here we are. I simply refuse to believe that there are not other alternatives available in a pinch - there is just no economic incentives to find them (yet).

I have advocated planning for a possible decoupling for many years and have been quite vocal about it.

I also believe our position on Taiwan should be economic scorched earth and if we threaten to pull out of NATO I think we can get the Europeans to follow. Harsh? Yes, but as I stated above and will say again the divorce from the CCP will not be cheap either way but war will be far bloodier and more expensive.

I truly believe we have a bunch of idiots in DC and in boardrooms who will prefer war and it concerns me.

There are some things like pharmaceuticals, electrical transformers, critical parts, and others that will be a mad scramble but its doable and the people who tell you its not are most worried about their bottom line. The rest of the crap on the shelves at Walmart? Pretty sure we will survive that.

I’ve wanted to decouple from China for at least 20 years.

But we didn’t...and now we’re incredibly addicted to the point where our defense contractors cannot even find ball bearings for their hardware.

So my point is that we get our shit together at home FIRST, before we think about cutting off our supply lines...and we’re not there yet, not even close.
