Jessie Watters: “Did the United States Senate just say we are going to protect you from China by spying on you? Let’s try to get some answers out of Sen. Lindsey Graham who supports this and is here now,” Watters said just prior to Graham appearing on the show. “You have got to be kidding me, Senator. Did you read this?”
“I don’t think I support the RESTRICT Act,” Graham told Watters.
“You don’t support this?” Watters asked, “Because you were named as one of the supporters, ‘cause this is garbage.”
On Congress.gov you are listed as one of the co-sponsors,” Watters said. “Maybe it’s like Fetterman when your chief of staff does all your work for you.”
Democratic Sen. John Fetterman of Pennsylvania was admitted to Walter Reed National Military Medical Center Feb. 15 to undergo inpatient treatment for depression. A top Fetterman aide told the New York Times that Fetterman’s continued campaigning for the Senate seat after a March 2022 stroke.

I don’t use TikTok and I’m aware of some of its bad elements, but suppressing my right to view it is just another step in the gov’t stripping our freedoms. If you don’t like it, don’t use it. If you’re worried about your children, maybe you should man-up and start acting like a parent instead of trying to be their friend all the time and letting them run roughshod over you. BTW, Participation Trophies do nothing to teach your kids how to function in the real world.

Within limits. Private schools or home schooling is not really an option for many people. Given that about 80% of property tax revenues go to education, why not give tax payers (yes, including renters) vouchers and let them pick the school for their kids?
Yeah, I know such an idea doesn't have a chance, but it would be nice given that some college students don't know that France is not the capital of Vermont.
Rand Paul was on TV this morning say he was going to try to block the bill. Apparently he read the bill.
If they wanted to ban TikTok because it spies for the CCP, Congress could just pass a simple, plain vanilla, all out ban on TikTok, with no “inclusive” language that could bleed into any further free speech restrictions. But Congress continually and consistently writes legislation so as to, on purpose, have gray areas by which the legal language leaves open possible unintended Federal government use, and leaves mountains of possibilities subject to Department of Justice and “regulators” interpretations. We need a POTUS and a DOJ that formally rejects such legislation as unenforceable.
