IANAL but it’s definitely a conspiracy of some sort.

__________________________________________________________

In some of the cases the people donating reported incomes of less than 10% of what they donated. For instance, a couple on Social security making less than $40,000 per year donated well over $300,000 to various campaigns sometimes making 100 donations in a single day.

Was this money reported to IRS as income? Even if someone else gave them the money to donate it has to be reported as income. Was the source of the money someone or some entity that donated well over the limit to various candidates, apparently it was indeed.

In other cases the people whose name was used as the person donating to a campaign or campaigns had no knowledge of the donations. Can you say FEC fraud? Can you say money laundering?

So to answer the question were laws broken, yes, felonies to be sure. Felonies mean prison time. Well, prison time unless you are a Democrat, since all these donations went to Democrats then there will certainly be no prosecutions or prison time.
