German Leopard 2 tanks have reached Ukraine
Reuters ^ | March 27, 2023 | Staff Report

The 18 Leopard 2 battle tanks pledged by Germany to support Ukraine in its war against Russia have arrived in Ukraine, the German Defence Ministry said on Monday.

Germany agreed in January to supply the tanks, regarded as among the best in the West's arsenal, overcoming misgivings about sending heavy weaponry that Kyiv says is crucial to defeat Russia's invasion but Moscow casts as a dangerous provocation.

"I'm sure that they can make a decisive contribution on the front," German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius said in a tweet.

Besides the 18 tanks, 40 German Marder infantry fighting vehicles, and two armoured recovery vehicles had also reached Ukraine, a security source said.

The German army trained the Ukrainian tank crews as well as the troops assigned to operate the Marder vehicles for several weeks in Muenster and Bergen in northern Germany.

The world doesn’t care about your personal preferences, I was talking about the United States/NATO alliance and our enemy Russia.

Update on Russian military operations in Ukraine for March 27, 2023;

- Russian forces are not only encircling the fortified cities of Bakhmut and Avdeevka, it is increasingly utilizing its military aviation to bomb fortified positions;

- Increased use of Russian military aviation may indicate an irreversible deterioration of Ukrainian air defense networks and may continue to expand, accelerating the demilitarization of Ukraine;

- Ukraine's offensive may be directed toward the south or east, however, Russia has created extensive defense networks in both directions;

- Because of the West's dwindling stockpiles of weapons and ammunition, Ukraine's offensive, no matter how successful, will end with Ukraine unable to sustain military operations or maintain territorial gains;

- Russia bringing in older tanks and makeshift mobile gun platforms may be used to eliminate weaknesses in Russian defenses, saturating the battlefield with additional firepower to prevent Ukrainian forces from making it through zones of fire;

- Russian military industrial output is greater than Ukraine's Western sponsors, and therefore gives Russia the advantage in shaping the conflict after Ukraine's offensive ends;

You bet... because that country is a bnazi dictatorship, conspired with Democrats to get Trump impeached, and has introduced massive corruption into DC.

Are you suggesting that anything DC dreams up and does, that we out here in the hinterlands have a duty to support? ANd besides, German tanks getting blown up in Ukraine by Russians is always a cause for celebration. Always has been!

And what “enemy”? I have seen no declaration of war, no congressional authorization for use of force, no war powers act notification to Congress, not even a UN authorization.

Nothing but the senile ramblings of Biden and his neocon pals. That’s not enough to make anyone MY enemy.

How many nations oppose Russia’s invasion, and which countries are you supporting?

The main thing is who we and our NATO allies are supporting.

The sooner this is over, the less of our future the current administration will spend waisted money. Current $ total? Please donate you 401K to Ukraine if you want. I chose to donate my unborn grandchildren’s funds via either crushing taxes or lost opportunity via collapsed economy.

It is a heck of a lot more than just our position, look at how the world divides up on the Russian invasion.

His hands can’t hit what he can’t see.

In this instance its modern sights and sensors verses Soviet Era sights sand sensors.

Good luck with those T-54s and T-55s the Rooskis are hauling out of museums to send to the front.

I'm not so sure they need your good luck.

They seem to be doing quite well without it!

As a matter of fact, you might want to wish good luck to the US/NATO, 'cause they seem to be the ones NOT doing so well.

18 Super tanks will make short work of the Ruzzian junk. They can’t be taken out by artilleries, or any Ruzzian rockets. They will push back the convict horde and push Orks out of Backumut and the Donbas. Every shot the Leopards shoot will see another T-54 burn. Ukraine doesn’t need much to turn the tide! These unstoppable German super tanks will change everything—and right behind them the Abrams and Challenger tanks to clean up. This will end any talk of a Ruzzian Victory! Next stop Crimea and the fall of Putin and his legions. A week from now the Ork lines will fold up and the Ruzzian Army will go into full retreat. Victory by July!

Desperation and fantastical thinking take hold of “top US foreign policy experts” as they contemplate an end game in Ukraine…

- CSIS admits crucial weapons and munitions face critical shortages including HIMARS launchers, 155mm artillery rounds, anti-aircraft and anti-tank missiles;

- CSIS suggests the US could deplete all of its inventories along with Europe into Ukraine to make up for critical shortages or shift to “substitutes” despite being inadequate for Ukraine’s requirements;

- A recent confab of US foreign policy experts attempted to come to grips with the coming end game in Ukraine in which they see a Russian victory owed to its ability to supply more weapons, munitions, and trained manpower;

- Suggestions to turn the tide include sending 1,000 M1 Abrams tanks, creating (another) foreign legion, and transferring weapons to Ukraine to strike deep within Russia;

- However these “solutions” range from unrealistic to entirely counterproductive;

- Ukraine doesn’t have the manpower or time to assemble crews for 1,000 M1 Abrams tanks, a foreign legion was already created and already failed, and striking deep inside Russia will likely only help Moscow justify further mobilizations;

- Sanctioning China is also considered, with no self-reflection on the flawed reasoning that led to ineffective sanctions already placed on Russia; - Only a fundamental change in Washington’s premise can a sensible foreign policy be proposed, one that sees the US cooperating constructively with all other nations rather than attempting to subjugate all other nations;
