If this school is for K-6th grade, that means this person has been fomenting some sort of anger for many years now? That seems strange.

It doesn’t necessarily mean the kid has been stewing on it for many years. It could be that after being propagandized in just recent years on social media, movies, and TV, the kid simply became paranoid and resentful and started looking for people to blame when the imaginary lifestyle didn’t magically make everything better, and the youthful desire for a sense of belonging to a big group doesn’t manifest itself when that group turns out to be just 1% of the population. The media and Hollywood makes it look like there are millions of them.
