‘John Blake was also a horrible coach.’
yeah 3-8, 4-8, and 5-6 won’t cut it in Norman...

So much is in the eye of the beholder.
Aunt Jemina is the best example. To me and everyone I knew, it was held up as a positive image of a person. A lot more positive than that of Marilyn Monroe or some other Hollyweird loser.
But over time it became popular and woke to ridicule this black woman.
Many images of white, black, hispanic asian, native american can be used. A lot of Hispanics in John Wayne’s movies, and many of them in his bed. One day they are positive. The next day negative.
Pre-1930 virtually all black congress critters were Republican... including those from the Northern cities... had high profile positive imagery in text books, in magazines, in history. Not now.
Humor, parody are affected just as much as the positive.
All Black Congressmen until 1935 were Republicans. However, only one was elected from a Northern state (Chicago, IL), who happened to be that last one of that group from 1929-35 (Oscar DePriest).
