Even the bestselling novelist in the world isn’t being spared woke rewrite treatments to spare the delicate sensitivities of modern readers, with Agatha Christie’s works getting the full treatment from her publisher.
Christie is famous for creating such timeless sleuths as Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple, and the Daily Telegraph reports new editions based on both these investigators have had original passages amended or excised by publisher Harper Collins.

“Agatha Christie’s And Then There Were None,” is, of course, Agatha Christie’s Ten Little Indians—which was originally, notoriously, released serially in the UK under the title Ten Little Niggers. (This was the British music-hall version of the minstrel song.) Even in 1939, this title was considered too offensive for American publication.

How in the world is “white teeth” racist?
Meantime the kids here have a big thumbs down for the Agatha Christie re do because it’s r rated. You don’t put that into an Agatha christie story.
I refer to these incidents as “putting books (or authors) in the freezer” to avoid melting the little snowflakes.

If this vivid description is triggering what does it say about the editors? Just like in other recent censorship of classic works, the revision isn’t nearly as interesting or descriptive. In this case, they edited the bold part.
It’s the descriptive language that sets the best fiction apart.
The assumption behind that edit is she must be making a racist judgement on their eyes and noses. That’s the editors own triggered bias because you can’t possibly comment on children’s eyes and noses for any other reason. /s
The 1945 film was called “And Then There Were None”.
Oddly enough, the 1974 version was called “Ten Little Indians”.
The world is going insane! A teacher was just told to resign because she taught about the Michaelangelo ‘s David calling it porn.
To me that means the children had rheumy or crusty eyes and runny noses. Something to cause physical disgust. Most likely caused by ill health made even worse by poor living conditions.
