“Lets put some tactical nukes in Poland and Romania then.”

Why? It’ll get kind of crowded.

Russia out of Ukraine,==

You must know that Ukraine is a literally translated as a “border land”. Question then” a “borderland” of WHAT? Answer: of Russia.

So Ukraine is actually a separatist part of Russia. So this war is a CIVIL war. Ukies are a south “confederates” in it.

I wonder how much blood is on the hands of Victoria Nuland and her ilk of Ivy-league idiots in the “diplomatic corps”?==

I understand what they did. They saw an opportunity to get into Russian lands using her separatists. Russia were a weak at time so they seized an opportunity and their advantage in a “soft power” applications.

Yeah it is known fact that Russia is no-good in a “soft power”. But as a balance of this she is pretty good in a “hard power” application. Historically she fought 1000 wars from ancient time till today.
So if she sees something violating her rights or interests she used to go to war for getting it back.
Maybe not right away as she try reasoning violators peacefully at first and she will not complain too because in her mentality complaining shows your weakness but she will go preparing if she sees reasoning not working. And some day her patience will run out and she will blow her adversaries.
Maybe they Nuland and companions forgot all this but they mistook Russia for third world power.

Did the U.S. move nuclear weapons out of Turkey as it was threatening to do?

Vlads supersonic missiles( we have none- yet)...

Yes we do. The AGM-183A.

This was last December:

The United States Air Force (USAF) has successfully tested its first prototype hypersonic missile.

The service's new AGM-183A Air-launched Rapid Response Weapon, or ARRW ("Arrow") is expected to be the United States military's first hypersonic weapon to reach operational status. The exact speed of the AGM-183A isn't known, although the Lockheed Martin-designed weapon is said to be based on previous test vehicles built by DARPA that have an alleged maximum speed of Mach 20, or 15,000 mph (24,000 kph).

The warmongers, with their very predictable actions and Russia’s very predictable responses, are destroying the victory Reagan gave us over the Soviets.

We are back to Cold War II with Russia and that isn’t good enough, the warmongers want a hot war, conventional or nuclear, both is acceptable to these maniacs and as an added bonus we now have China not as a counter to Russia but an ally, what a bunch of idiots we have in charge who brought about this mess. We could have avoided the Russian version again but every president since Reagan has screwed the pooch in eastern Europe. And the Russians, though predictable bear some responsibility as well for this mess.

————-
In testing phase?

“U.S. successfully tests pair of Lockheed hypersonic missiles….The U.S. Air Force confirmed it successfully tested its Air-Launched Rapid Response Weapon (ARRW) booster on Tuesday off the California coast. Reuters reported the ARRW test earlier on Wednesday in which the booster was carried aloft under the wing of a B-52H before it was launched. In previous tests, the weapon did not detach from the plane….July 2022”

Well, That is encouraging. No info on if it can be nuke armed ( like Russia’s)- I can breathe a sigh of relief knowing it will now take a few years and billions more to get them fully tested and fielded.

———-
Well, the Russian Donbass provinces were pushing for their Independence from Ukraine in 2015 when the Ukies started shelling them. Either way, this war started in 2015….not in Feb 2022 as the western lame stream media would like to have us believe.

There are by the way at least three movies made about this civil war, all dated from 2016-2020.

The first battery was delivered in September of 2021 and the first missiles are expected any day.

“the Army delivered the hypersonic battery to soldiers with I Corps’ 5th Battalion, 3rd Field Artillery Regiment, 17th Field Artillery Brigade at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Wash. That equipment included a battery operations center, four transporter erector launchers and modified trucks and trailers. Each launcher holds two rounds.”

First live rounds of Army’s hypersonic weapon coming in ‘roughly’ 6 months
Soldiers are already training on the hypersonic battery equipment to prepare for delivery of the missile.

Yeah I agree this war started when separatist ukies decided to discipline a separatist Donbass who is loyal to RUssia. Actually in 2014 not 15.

But in 2022 the war developed to Russia wars against a separatist ukies. So it is a civil war which was my point.

Interesting take and I do agree about the history, but I would also submit that Russia is no longer a “near peer” adversary for us in a conventional sense. They do have some capability that is on par with us, but they have very little of it in comparison. Take the SU-57 for example..... looks like a great plane but they have so few of them that it is almost pointless.

Their Air Force has not really been very effective in the Ukrainian conflict. Their Navy is in bad shape in many respects with serious maintenance issues and the Black Sea fleet has been a non-factor in the current conflict. Their Army was an uncoordinated mess with serious maintenance and logistical issues last year.

They are and will always be a nuclear superpower. I think that is ultimately their ace in the hole because their economy cannot support “superpower” military spending.

Anyone who wanted to “invade” Western Russia (conventionally) is an idiot in my book and history makes this clear. However, I don’t believe they can defend their far East territory without going nuclear because the logistics of it are impossible when you take out the rail lines.

I am pretty confident that the Skunkworks have been working on hypersonics for a long time. Keep in mind that we had the F-117’s for more than 7 years before the public knew about it. Outside of Tom Clancy “guessing” that we had it when he wrote Red Storm Rising, nobody else had a clue. Much easier for a hypersonic missile to remain classified. I also think we have a deployable amount of next generation drones to include stealth ones that nobody knows about.

I don’t think Russia is ahead of us - they just publicize their stuff immediately and we hold ours closer to the vest.
