An up-and-coming fashion designer who dressed Lady Gaga and other celebrities was murdered in her Manhattan apartment with a lethal cocktail of fentanyl and other drugs last year, cops and reports said Friday.

A neighbor spotted Kathryn “Katie” Gallagher’s keys dangling from the door of her apartment on Eldridge Street on the Lower East Side and entered to check on her — then discovered her lifeless body face up on her bed, a police source said.

The mysterious death of Gallagher, 35, was classified as a homicide Friday after the medical examiner determined that she died from acute intoxication from the combined effects of fentanyl, ethanol and the designer opioid p-Fluorofentanyl.

Homicide?

Details would be helpful.

I read the whole article. She died last year, which means the tox screen took at least three months.

How did the Police decide that someone else caused her death?

Also, hard to believe that criminals would leave her keys in the door, which would instantly draw the attention of other residents.

“Good point. If she was inebriated, her guard might have been down...but the murderers must have been clever at presenting themselves as friendlies.”

Yeah but with all the fentanyl laced street drugs, it is crazy to consume any. Better to go to the rip off price legal marijuana dispensaries

Scum of the planet Crims gort her high and they were high too. Round them up. A fair trial. Then execute them.

“He often stumbled over the truth.”

True that! But he was one stubborn and dedicated guy in the search for it.

“The only way a story makes Law and Order is if the perp is MAGA or a Baptist preacher.”

You got that right. When the most recent L&O iteration came out maybe a year ago we thought it might be good. We like Jeffrey Donovan.

We got through the first 10 minutes of the first two episodes. Completely offensive to Christians, MAGA, etc. Decades ago it started out as a really good show.

My faves were Paul Sorvino and George Dzundza — and of course Jerry Orbach.

The others were okay, but Orbach was my favorite.

“Orbach was my favorite.”

Last week I watched Dirty Dancing again. Orbach was such a good actor! He made the movie, IMO. (Silly movie, I know, but I enjoy it.)

Nobody puts Baby in the corner, BTW.

Being tragically hip has its drawbacks. Or perhaps she planned it that way.

Heh. I hear Orbach’s performance of “Lullaby of Broadway” on the radio sometimes.

“Or the sad result of drug abuse?”

Unintentional suicide...or intentional stupidity.

So while wife Michelle was feverishly trying to find the Hillside Strangler, he was plotting her murder? Has he been charged?

Munch just died, didn’t he? What a weird-o. I liked the episode when the Ice-T character revealed that he was a Republican. The other cops were speechless.

“RIP Katie. The only way a story makes Law and Order is if the perp is MAGA or a Baptist preacher.”

Law and Order is infamous for taking a real incident, real news where the perp is black or Hispanic. And casting him as a white man. This has been going on for years.

According to Steve Sailer at Unz. The reason why is that the mostly white (need I say female?) viewership is bored with and fearful of black criminals. They don’t want to see them or know about them.
They can identify with/ anti-identify with/ get more interested in/ white criminals.
