From experience, contractors come last on investigation list - govies first. Security officer for Boeing was probably asleep at the wheel.
When I was laid off in 2010, my security officer immediately put me in and got me a 5 year update in case I got rehired. But this lesbian in Herndon, VA was getting us old people out to make room for her sexual buddies. End result was company lost the local contract, and I never used the five year update. Happily retired and I think the b**** got fired. Company lost a lot of work, my teams small part was over $6M a year.
