”In your face” is our communist masters' favorite tool to rattle the chains of tyranny that they have wrapped around our necks...

No Big Deal!
Our communist masters know that the pathetically servile and indolent Aamerican people will just continue to roll over and spread their collective cheeks...

Meanwhile, the US is exporting record amounts of the stuff OUT of the country.

And Sacramento clearly has no prob with THAT.

I’m getting used to them lines....there is one gas station in my town that is consistently $.10 - $.50 lower than the other stations and doesn’t do the debit card scam of raising the price 10 cents... just charges a .35 fee. He has 16 pumps and a decent little market. There are always lines so I Feel like I’m going to be ready when it really hits. lol

I may well get a solar array installed, after all.

I have a design on the table that can generate 180% of my power usage, AND it includes a substantial battery, AND that part of the system can scale up, AND that part of the system has a power connector for a future 240Vac generator...

Bottom line, I’m about postured to be grid independent, whether or not the house has to, by law, remain connected like some kind of vestigial umbilical cord.

One wonders whether long, long lines at remaining gas stations (reminiscent of 1974) might make Cali drivers think twice about the importance of that "vote" thingy.

Nah.

California has gone to all mail-in for a reason.

A valid point, one suspects.

It’s like NYC.

If NYC is so reliably loony lib, why does good ol’ Gotham now have RCV for mayorals...? 🤔

That gouging is perfectly acceptable.

I remember the 1970s when Arab Oil Embargo sent the price of a barrel of oil skyrocketing!
Some egghead in Washington declared that the US oil companies could not sell the oil from old wells at the new higher price but had to sell at the old lower price. ONLY NEW Wells could sell at the higher price.

So the oil companies shut down the old wells and drilled “new” wells right next to them to get the higher price.

I heard that from oil workers from Wyoming to Texas.

Hey Gavin & your commie democrats: How about an anti-tax-gouging law.. California’s excise taxes on gasoline come to 51 cents per gallon.

Kinda like here in Minnesota
“Lawmakers agree on budget”

No. Not one Republican supports it.

But they don’t need a republican to pass it.

Yup. They like to blame corporations for prices going up. They are all greedy they say.

When I ask “were they greedy under trump when everything cost less? How about Obama? Clinton? Bush?”

Heads explode and they call me names.

The state makes the most money from a gallon of gas.

Let the state build its own refineries and extraction equipment, then. Oil companies should avoid being accused of ‘price gouging’ and tell CA to make their own oil products instead.
