Greta warned us. If she’s still a virgin, she’d make a great sacrifice to the volcano.
Beat me to it!
“The Lava Creek tuff. Would it damage my yard so that I wouldn’t have to mow for a while?”
Yes. A good welded ash flow tuff ought to prevent any grass from growing through it for a few thousand years.
It gives you a funny voice.
In other news, scientists have detected nitrogen and oxygen in the atmosphere over Yellowstone National Park.
What about Dihydrogen Monoxide?
Yes, there’s gas in the car.
It is getting so bad that now there is more nitrogen than oxygen in the air those people have to breathe!
Mt. St. Helen was a riot too!
It may sleep ‘til noon, but before it’s dark...
I should warn ya, that YT channel is a POS. :^)

My wife and I loved our fishing and camping trips to Idaho. We visited Arco, “World’s First Atomic City”, in 1979. Followed the Big Lost River, and the Little Lost River.
LOL!
[snip] When was the last time there was volcanism at Yellowstone?
The most recent volcanic activity consisted of rhyolitic lava flows that erupted approximately 70,000 years ago. The largest of these flows formed the Pitchstone Plateau in southwestern Yellowstone National Park.
How much volcanic activity has there been at Yellowstone since the most recent giant eruption?
Since the most recent giant caldera-forming eruption, 631,000 years ago, approximately 80 mostly nonexplosive eruptions have occurred. Of these eruptions, at least 27 were rhyolite lava flows in the caldera, 13 were rhyolite lava flows outside the caldera and 40 were basalt vents outside the caldera. Only a few of these eruptions are associated with significant deposits of ash, indicating an explosive component. The largest of these explosive events, about 173,000 years ago, was similar in size to the one that created Crater Lake in Oregon, and it resulted in the formation of a collapse caldera that is now occupied by the West Thumb of Yellowstone Lake. The most recent volcanic eruption at Yellowstone, a lava flow on the Pitchstone Plateau, occurred 70,000 years ago.
How often do volcanic eruptions occur at Yellowstone?
Three extremely large explosive eruptions have occurred at Yellowstone in the past 2.1 million years with a recurrence interval of about 600,000 to 800,000 years. [/snip]

Crumbles... love that song.
There's only One God, and yes, I suspect that He's angry.
The Yellowstone eruption will happen after the Rapture. Maranatha.
It’s all Trump’s fault. His cheeseburgers have ruined the planet. And now Jimmy Buffet wants one in paradise! The fiend.
I figured as much, after the shock of the alarm died down and I noticed that there are alarms like that all over the place. Every week a new asteroid is about to collide with earth, which is doomed because of global warming.
Yellowstone does not even register.
End of story.
