Why? I don't understand that at all. I'm a HUGE Trump supporter, but if he's not the candidate I'm certainly not staying home. That would be stupid. I haven't missed an election since I started voting, even when I had to hold my nose to pull the lever.

I'll vote for Trump or DeSantis in November 2024; whichever is on the ballot.
There are lot of people who will vote for DeSantis who would not vote for Trump. Whether there are enough these folks to make up for the diehard MAGA who might stay home, is the question.

Respectfully, I disagree. If it comes down to DeSantis vs Biden in the general, I believe it would be a no-brainer for republicans, including MAGA, and many independents.
"The enemy of good is perfect!" This adage applies equally to both Trump and DeSantis.
BTW - I will vote for Trump in the primary. I will vote for the republican in the general. If I only vote for the candidate who agrees with me 100% of the time, I would never vote for anyone except myself.

Not me. As non-enthusiastic as Dole, McCain and Romney left me, I have never understood the mentality: I won’t vote so Clinton, Obama and Biden can get in and keep ramping things up to the point to where conservatives are threatened with jail.
