Law?
Good grief, the idiot has at least two strikes against him...
1) The Soros semi-human supports him
2) He’s a lawyer in New York

Rule of law? This is about power. Nothing else. They have it. They use it. They will continue to use it as long as they have it.

This is show-boating. Not a Trump fan, but this crap needs to stop. How many more prosecutors, politicians, impeachments, investigations etc are the american people going to endure? Get over it already.

The money quote -

“The other argument that Leonhardt and Philbrick summarize gives the game away. Trump “has repeatedly shown disdain for laws and traditions that predecessors from both parties followed,” they write. “He told thousands of lies while in office; refused to participate in a peaceful transfer of power; used the power of the presidency to benefit his company; pressured a foreign leader to smear a political rival; and much more.”
The TDS runs deep!
And there’s more...
“At a certain point, the rule of law becomes meaningless if anybody can repeatedly ignore it.”
Paging Bill and Hill!

"Undermines trust in law enforcement"?

Not so--trust in law enforcement vanished years ago. See the treatment of Hillary in 2016.

If it is a federal law, how does he even have standing to look at it?

Let’s see, there is
- Trump and Stormy
- BiteMe showering with his daughter
- Hunter having sex with his niece

Yeah, Trump is the villain.

So, when will Free Willy be arrested for his $850k payment to Paula Jones?

As a Believer, I have always had a hard time accepting the theory of Evolution. However, I now believe that Democrats are descended from pond scum and are the product of the infinite negative mutations that had to have taken place. Since mutations create biological defects in a species it stands to reason that Democrats are dumber than pond scum. Which is why we need to drain the swamp.

REASON Magazine, huh?

As in give the Left a reason, or we use logic and reason?

Trump, in other words, is an awful person who has done awful things, and this prosecution, no matter how weak its basis, is an opportunity to deliver his well-deserved comeuppance.

That sounds like a completely emotional, almost hysteric, non-reasoned statement.

Thanks. My media observation history tells me I’d be right 99.999% of the time.

Nice to know I can still be wrong! ;-0

The writer of this piece doesn't say whether he loves, hates, or is somewhere in between on Trump. His point is decisions on whether to prosecute shouldn't be made on how someone feels about Trump. And that the legal reasoning behind these charges is dubious enough, without throwing in that the prosecutor may be doing this because of bias.

And he is right. Look, I am no fan of Bill Clinton, and I wouldn't want him to be charged with a crime, merely because someone didn't like him. I wouldn't necessarily want him spared from being charged just because someone like him.

We all depend on the rule of law. Bets not to get rid of it.

This case is a textbook example of a “Police State.”

Stalin said give me the man and I will find the crime. Clearly the communist Democrats have been persecuting Trump since 2015, trying to find a crime or to frame him.

The bold and brazen flaunting of the law could be demonstrating that our country already has been taken over by communists who are not about to give up their power. The pathetic Biden was selected, not elected. Is that not so?

Are there be more communists in the USA than in Russia?

The Rule of Law notion, theory, tradition, or whatever you want to call it disappeared when Hillary was allowed to walk away from her crimes.
