The Secret Service is expected to suggest the possibility of a virtual arraignment, removing the need for Trump to be physically arrested and moved, the source said. In the event of an indictment, a physical arrest would be the responsibility of the Secret Service.
Law enforcement are concerned about the "tremendous amount of danger" and "hysteria" surrounding Trump's potential arrest. Trump himself has encouraged supporters to "take our country back" in the event of his arrest.

Trump had better be going to bed fully dressed anyway. I remember what they did to Roger Stone and his wife.

“ New York City authorities have no specific timing in mind for a potential indictment and arraignment of former President Trump”
Because it’s purely political.
Political prisoners in the USA.
It has happened here.

Or they already know the NYPD would have too many officers coming down with the Blue Flu and won't be around to protect the Communists in the prosecutor's office.
The prosecutor has also likely been told by the Secret Service that they won't be separated from President Trump and any attempt to do so will be met with deadly force.

There should be no arraignment period. This prosecutorial debacle threatens our legal system. Senator Cruz described it perfectly.
“Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) slammed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's “political persecution” of former President Donald Trump as “utter and complete crap.”
“The case from the Manhattan District Attorney, if they bring an indictment and charge him, is utter and complete crap…It is flimsy. It is weak,” Cruz said on his latest Verdict podcast episode. “It has been rejected by prosecutor after prosecutor after prosecutor. And it is obviously political retribution and a political persecution.
“[Bragg] hates Donald Trump. Now he has a right to hate Donald Trump. But he doesn't have a right to abuse and corrupt the justice system to persecute his political opponents. And that, sadly, is exactly what he's doing here,” the Texas senator continued.”

It really shows how bad politics has become. They want someone to perp walk Trump to harm his prospects in 2024 even though he has ensured he is unelectable. It might be less about Trump than stopping Republicans. They also want a second J6 to slander all Republicans as extremists. Trump fell for that trap in 2020 because of his own arrogance. Calling again for protests over a potential indictment is making the same mistake over again.
We need the America First agenda without the histrionics and self sabotage that comes from Trump. Don’t know who that candidate would be. I don’t trust DeSantis and don’t find him compelling but we need a vigorously contested primary to beat Trump and Biden both in 2024.

They went from a showcase kick-in-the-door-before-dawn arrest and frog-march perp-walk, to permitting Trump to wear his usual tailored suit and sit in a gold chair at Mar-a-Lago and say, "100%, absolutely, not guilty" and "this is a political witchhunt!"

New York City authorities have no specific timing in mind for a potential indictment and arraignment of former President Trump, but many are now concerned that arresting Trump is likely to be dangerousThey misspelled the word 'guaranteed'.

physical arrest would be the responsibility of the Secret Service Gee if Trump wins the Presidency then I guess the Secret Service is in the same boat as the DOJ, FBI, CIA, NSA, etc. can’t be trusted! Maybe a big, big house cleaning coming!
Since Protection for the President and Vice President of the United States is mandatory, I guess if I were Trump, I would make the Secret Service stand outside the White House Fence. That’s the closest I would let them near me. But that’s just me and I take somethings personal.

Others have probably already said this, but that 'concern' in the article sounds to me as much a dog whistle for the marxists to paint
any DJT supporters as
likely to be dangerous.
Folks, if you didn't execrate these bastards already, now would be a good time to start.

"Several law enforcement groups were scheduled to meet at noon on Monday at NYPD headquarters in Manhattan to discuss the logistics of a potential indictment against Trump."
This entire article is complete and utter nonsense. The NYPD Commissioner, the Chief of Department, and nearly every 3-star chief were at a NYC City Council hearing today from 10am-1pm.
I think this site has jumped the shark. There used to be actual news and thoughtful discussion around here. Now everyone, including me, are worked up into a frenzy about an indictment that is most likely never going to be filed. What a joke.
