Ron DeSantis and Nikki Haley have been attacked by a number of Trump loyalists for failing to comment on rumors the former president will be arrested on Tuesday.
MAGA Republicans have criticized DeSantis and Haley for not speaking out against the Manhattan DA's office for what they claim is a weaponization of the justice system.
DeSantis is widely rumored to be preparing to run against Trump for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination. Haley was the first to enter the race after Trump.
Jason Miller, a Trump adviser and the former CEO of right-wing free speech app Gettr noted a 'radio silence' from the two since the rumors gained momentum early on Saturday.

Heightening pressure on DeSantis was that he is the governor of Florida, the state Trump has made his home since leaving office.
Far-right social media personality Mike Cernovich suggested the governor should make it clear he would not extradite Trump from Florida without a 'proper legal review'.
'DeSantis is making his first unforced error by not denouncing this lawless act,' he said. One Twitter user pointed out that Trump had suggested that in his original Truth Social that he would be turning himself in, and that it was not an extradition case.
Ben Kew, editor-at-large of conservative news site Red State, wrote in response: 'I say this as his most fervent supporter, but Ron DeSantis is making a massive mistake by not speaking up on the Trump prosecution issue.'

The pressure that DeSantis is now coming under to comment on Trump’s rumored indictment was especially evident in replies to the governor’s most recent tweet, put out on Saturday afternoon, which was related to Hurricane Ian.
‘The world is watching your every move Ron,’ read one of the top replies.
‘You are making a grave decision by not addressing the current corruption. By staying silent, we know you are bought and paid for, which is horrifying for the future of this country,’ read another.
‘My goodness I never thought I would see Ron’s comments look like this…’ tweeted one person.
There are rumors.
He simultaneously shared comments from Mike Pence, who on Saturday accused the Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg of a ‘political prosecution’ after the rumors spread that his office would be indicting Trump over Stormy Daniels hush money payments.

Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy, now one of the most powerful Republicans in Congress and once a dependable ally to Trump, also spoke in his defense on Saturday morning.
He wrote: ‘Here we go again - an outrageous abuse of power by a radical DA who lets violent criminals walk as he pursues political vengeance against President Trump.
‘I’m directing relevant committees to immediately investigate if federal funds are being used to subvert our democracy by interfering in elections with politically motivated prosecutions.’
He tweeted again on Sunday: ‘Alvin Bragg is abusing his office to target President Trump.’
Republicans Kevin McCarthy, Andy Biggs, even Mike Pence have defended Donald Trump against the political overreach of the Manhattan DA rumored Tuesday arrest
Who's quiet? Ron DeSantis. Just like he was when the FBI raided Trump's home. The others responded quickly...Ron - nope.— 🫵🏾 Wayne DuPree (@WayneDupreeShow) March 19, 2023
Daily Mail is a liberal rag always looking for drama. They lie their asses off.
Bonhoeffer quote:
“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”
If Trump is ever out of the picture, guess who the swamp and media will go after next.
Well that’s kinda dumb - they’re running against the guy who calls them names, what do these people expect?
Vivek has been the strongest candidate in the presidential field in terms of how he has responded to Trump’s pending arrest.
Haley and Desantis are worried about their deep-pocket donors first and foremost—not the implications for America. https://t.co/kSJ9l6NHa0— Candace Owens (@RealCandaceO) March 19, 2023
Seriously. I do wish they’d shut up. Is it really too much to ask for something actually to happen before a reaction is expected?
I’m very surprised DeSantis hasn’t said a word.
I guess he has no sense of humor being called names.
If the Manhattan DA indicts President Trump, he will ultimately win even bigger than he is already going to win.
And those Republicans that stand by and cheer for his persecution or do nothing to stop it will be exposed to the people and will be remembered, scorned, and… https://t.co/cryRR02xat— Marjorie Taylor Greene 🇺🇸 (@mtgreenee) March 18, 2023
Bad move, Ron.
Actually, it is no move at all.
Beyond weak, yet very telling.
God is mad about Trump legal mess involving a Porn Star Hush Money Bribe for 130,000 while his
new wife and baby where at Home ?
That's a new one .
It cracks me up when I see so many posters on this site rag on The Daily Mail. It might surprise you to know…..
“ In news that will surprise very few, the Daily Mail is seen as Britain’s most right-wing newspaper. Britain’s most read newspaper is described by 44% of Brits as “very right-wing”, far ahead of any other paper. In total, 81% considered the paper to be right-wing to one degree or another.”

Seems to me like something Rove would tell DeSantis to do
DeSantis, sad. I've liked him as FL gov, but the longer his smug silence continues.... not so much for prez.
I support President Trump except his attacks on DeSantis. Save those for the RINO’s and not a conservative leader like RD. It’s hard to support the guy who is attacking him. Boggles the mind more so in that Trump out polls DeSantis by a good margin already. Stop with the petty attacks on a fellow teammate.
