Comedians always followed social trends including political, but in the past 20 years they went from funny to nothing but loud, screeching, hate-filled, political lunatics.
Some comedians are bucking the trend and can’t be cancelled. Bill Burr, Ricky Gervais and Dave Chappelle are 3 examples.
Comedians have been the enemy for quite some time now. A few decades ago I got a couple speeding tickets, and to avoid a bad record opted to go to traffic school. That turned out to be multiple days listening to a leftist comedian while getting some driving tips. The comedians spouted anti-conservative drivel. The liberals forced to be there were happy and laughing, while I suffered under the abuse. It did cause me to be more careful in avoiding speed traps, but pissed me off that tax dollars were being used to host lousy leftist comedians.

Comics show us our flaws and foibles and make us laugh. Liberals see no humor in their foibles and flaws, refusing to believe they have any. They’re thin-skinned and brittle.
