Donald Trump announced on Saturday morning that he would be arrested on Tuesday, and the nation has been agog at the prospect of the Leftist establishment crossing the rubicon of arresting its principal opponent on flimsy charges and demonstrating before the entire world that the American republic is now the American banana republic, in which foes of the regime can expect the full weight of corrupt government authority pushing back against them for daring to dissent.
But now it turns out that the Manhattan district attorney’s office, which has Trump in its sights, just may be stepping back from the brink: Business Insider reported Saturday night that Trump’s indictment is “on hold” until one more witness testifies Monday afternoon.
That’s about all that has come to light, as the relevant authorities are being quite closemouthed about this whole thing. Insider says that “a source with knowledge of the investigation” told them on Saturday night “there is one more witness.” The indictment is apparently not a certainty until this witness testifies.
But who is this witness? The Insider’s source wouldn’t say, and so all that we’re told is that “a separate source, who also spoke on condition of anonymity, told Insider that the witness is not Allen Weisselberg, Trump’s former CFO, who is serving a five-month sentence for admittedly masterminding a payroll tax-dodge scheme at the Trump Organization.”
Meanwhile, Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen, whose betrayal of his former client started this whole business about Trump having paid hush money to a porn star (which is what he might be arrested for, not any of the literally dozens of other crimes that Democrats have claimed he has committed over the last few years, up to and including trying to overthrow the government of the United States), “has told reporters

If the bad guys were scared out of pulling the trigger. It was Elon's words and power that did it. Not Trump's weak threat.
They hate Trump. They fear Elon.
The Don would have benefited from an arrest for such obviously political reasons.
If Trump is as smart as we all once hoped he'd be, then perhaps what Trump found out early is that the thing was NOT going to happen. So, he quickly cashes the victim credits while they still come with free air time and fundraising power.
I'm not a Trump fan, but I'd love to find out that's true.
Trump’s hires continue to be a real concern for me.

Stop it. He had to make use of what was there to the best of his ability. His nature is to trust, you can’t be all paranoid. You test people, sometimes you get surprised on the upside.
Put yourself in his shoes, there aren’t good people to select from. You can’t bring in all outsiders. He didn’t have a lot of relationship with politicians and that was the GOOD NEWS.
Trump got some amazing things stated/done under the circumstances.
The El Salvador prison. All Trump. Take a look at the dates, the meetings. Biden talked about getting rid of but let it stand because it worked. Note that no information is given on the history. The media can’t credit Biden and won’t credit Trump.
I keep wondering when I see people say Trump is going to be “indicted” on Tuesday if they really mean “arraigned.”
I agree with that. But his hires continue to be a concern.
There were a lot of good hires involved in the amazing things done. He couldn’t have got them done without the unsung heroes.
Who do you think did the legwork on immigration, releasing bureaucratic rules, the supreme court, etc.
TRUMP HAD A LOT OF GOOD HIRES, IT IS JUST YOU CAN’T SEE THEM.
Thanks for your insight and comments:
“Elon...”
If the bad guys were scared out of pulling the trigger. It was Elon’s words and power that did it. Not Trump’s weak threat.
“They hate Trump. They fear Elon.”
Trump’s effect was not aimed at his enemies, it was to bring his supporters back into his fold. That worked.
However, as you noted “Fear of Elon”, and I would add Tucker to this new reality, “They fear Elon and hate Tucker and Trump!”
Don’t be a stranger, your comments are appreciated.
There’s big money to be made by turning on Trump.
They all turned on Trump.
So what if these did! Have you never hired some one and they turned on you. Do you realize how common this is going to be in the swamp.
You pick your battles, Trump did, he couldn’t do everything, he got the right people in for the most urgent goals. You pick your battles.
I doubt very much anyone else could have done better. The only way not to have them turn on him was to be part of the swamp. Is that what you want?
Stop it!
In fairness, some of them (Barr being a prime example) were about the best he could get past McTurtle’s senate.
“Maybe worried that someone will get in his face and yell BOO!!!!”
Or shank him in the chest.
Hopefully the second term has far fewer.
Note his main testing point right now for people around him is their position on the stolen election. That was his test on the primaries.
Personally, I think that is a good starting point and an interesting one. They have to take a public position, can’t sit on the fence.
Advantage: Rudy.
God help me I love it so.
If they are backing off, it is most certainly because of enormous Democrat pressure to stop turning Trump into a martyr which would launch him into a landslide presidential victory in 2024. I am sure a LOT of Democrats polled believe this is a completely unjust prosecution.
Same to you!
I believe you are wise to include Tucker.
"EzriCare and Delsam Pharma 'Artificial Tears Lubricant Eye Drops' were recalled due to 55 reports of adverse reactions to the drops, including eye infections, permanent vision loss and one death from a bloodstream infection."
FIFTY FIVE adverse reactions and ONE death.
They are playing Trump…and his dedicated followers.
no they are playing you and your kind
