The Donald needs to play the part: It's important to take a cold, hard look at why Trump lost in 2020, and why he'll probably lose in 2024 if he continues on his current path

First, I must state that I am not, have never been, and will never be a NeverTrump. I voted for the man twice and will gladly do so again if he wins the nomination. I'd like to see him in the Oval Office again because I believe it to be important for the soul of our country.

We need to show the conspirators who attempted to destroy his presidency that we will not stand for a coup of a duly elected administration. The Democrats and the Deep State used a hoax and a sham investigation in an attempt to prevent Trump's election, and then take down his presidency after elected. Their attempt to interfere in the peaceful transfer of power — beginning in 2015 and continuing through 2020 — must be met with consequences. A re-election of Donald Trump would signal their failure and the commencement of consequences — as delivered by a president who will never run for election again.

Having said all of that, it's important to take a cold, hard look at why Trump lost in 2020, and why he'll probably lose in 2024 if he continues on his current path. There's plenty of time for a course correction. However, it does require a correction — a change.

I don't believe for a nanosecond that "Dementia" Joe actually got 81 million votes with a basement campaign. Unfortunately, the election was close enough to be stolen — and it probably was, with unconstitutional rules changes and questionable ballot-harvesting.

We can have the old Trump (Trump) or the new Trump (DeSantis).

"Trump doesn’t learn from past mistakes."

So punish him, and vote for his opponent if you think he didn't behave the way you thought he should. WAH!!! He's mean. Maybe if you had to take one millionth of the abuse that man has taken in the past 8 years, you'd find a pair of balls and fight back, but I doubt it.

Give me the old Trump for 4 more years and the new Trump ( DeSantis ) for another 8 years. There’s plenty of time for both. It does not have to be an either/or thing.

I’ll put it another way. Voting for Trump in November ONLY tells me that the guy is not a total idiot in that he’s able to at least understand that ANY REPUBLICAN is far better than Skunk Cabbage or Biden (something many here are still having trouble getting their hands around). In other words, voting against either of those two Democrats does not, in itself, prove one to not be a NeverTrumper, but rather more of a NeverDemocrat, than a NeverTrumper.

The election was close because people were tired of Trump’s behavior. The electorate loved his policies, but they didn’t like his childishness.

*************************************************************

BS. Yes, “some” people criticized Trump for name calling and assorted other personality traits. But, for Green to argue that “personality traits” of Trump was determinative in Trump losing the election is Liberal BS. Green must draw a check from National Review.

Trump lost the election because RINO’s, Globalist Trump haters and our Judiciary helped the Democrats get away with every election theft trick known to man in about 6-8 swing states controlled by democrats. Period.

Trump could walk across a swimming pool without getting his feet wet and would still catch hell from those people. I don’t honestly believe that elections work properly in this dying Nation.

Seems you Ukraine Cheerleaders know something about DeSantis that the rest of us are not being told...

Recent events would indicate that he hasn't developed any additional self-control or tactical savvy in the last two years.

So you're one of those who is not only willing, but LOVES to eat the next warm bowl of $HIT, as long as we have "NO MEAN TWEETS!"

Your governor and state and county health officials had more power than the President..

That’s why some states appeared to be free states vs slave states

Then why is your bunch STILL supporting DeSantis, after he (correctly) called Ukraine a ‘territorial dispute’? What have you guys been told regarding him?

"Unfortunately, there are many who don’t think like you. I know of several friends and colleagues..."

With friends like that, you don't need enemies. I hope they are happy with the way things are. People are fickle, and will turn on a dime. They have no loyalty, and are always looking for something better, when the best thing for them is what's right in front of them. They're gullible, and one of the main reasons that the GOP will never be reformed.
