DeSantis put his ass on the line in uniform in Afghanistan.

He served as a Navy JAG corps officer as a Harvard trained lawyer. I don't want to detract from his service, but he didn't "put his ass on the line" the way Marines or Seals did.

I have see no information that DeSantis ever served in Afghanistan. He was a JAG lawyer in Iraq, from what I’ve seen.
