It really becomes obvious how far we have moved from capitalism, or market forces. There used to be consequences. If you weren’t serious about business, it might go under. If you didn’t care about your fiduciary responsibilities, it could all come crashing down on you.
But today, if you have the connections, you can be “too big to fail” and the taxpayers will always rescue you and allow you to continue in your wild and irresponsible ways. Aaaaaaaaaaah the oligarchy. Life is sweet at the top.
