Just tell them that at some point those American dollars have to come back to the USA in order to be worth something other than paper.
They have to come back in exchange for goods or service from Americans, else they are just wall paper pics of dead presidents...........

This was absolutely inevitable and I am amazed it has taken this long.
Money activity has been primarily electronic for decades now. It was just a question of time before the Fed changed from a physical to an electronic form of storage.
You can kvetch all you want but everyone should have seen this coming.
I do not see it affecting me personally as I do 99.9% of all my financial transactions - from grocery shopping to gas to depositing the invoices from my clients - electronically anyway. If the Fed wanted to track my money movement they could. THEORETICALLY they cannot do that without a warrant and that does not change with this.
Is it the camel nose under the tent? Probably. But like black boxes and the associated loss of invisibility in automobiles it is the cost of progress.
The ‘digital dollar’ has been a reality for years. Credit cards are essentially digital instruments.
Even checks. We pay our Sam’s bill every month in person with a check. We hand it to the cashier and she scans it
and hands it back to us. VOILA! the ‘money’ is instantly transferred from our account to Sam’s bank account via electronic transfer, no cash involved...........................
I expect this is a longer term project. First few years will be major bank to major banks to Fed only. Then smaller banks. Then large corporations. Then voluntary people (urban, young). Only after about 10+ years will they require it. Then, it will be stable for a few years, like boiling a frog. Finally, the end game will be played. Rationing by rule, social credit scores, turning off money “owned” by opposition of all kinds.
One of the goals is Gun Control.
Get the credit card companies to not allow purchases of guns, ammo or accessories with their cards.
Then get banks to do the same with their debit cards and checks.
Gun store will only be able to accept cash for their goods.
Delete cash from circulation and no more guns being sold.................

Donald Trump said that he didn’t invoke the insurrection act because he wanted people to see how bad it would be if things were run poorly. He has engineered this whole thing to get people to wake up and its working well.
I’m not overly worried about things because at some level Trump is still in control. He travels openly in a full presidential motorcade with ambulance and heavy police escort. Former presidents are just not provided with that. IMO he is hiding in plain sight. We are in continuity of government otherwise Trump would be dead already.
