As the US adds more nations to NATO, the US defense industry rakes in the bucks “modernizing” their militaries with beautiful kickbacks to the politicians supporting this nonsense.
How is that different from the USSR’s defense industry prospering by arming Soviet satellite nations?

Why do you think all those countries that Russia had enslaved either begged to join NATO or are trying to, and why are even traditionally neutral countries like Sweden and Finland begging to get into the European NATO, even eternally neutral Switzerland is discussing it.
Russia is the enemy threat to everyone, not the ally.
By all means, let’s stop the greedy merchants of death. Let’s completely disband our military and inform the world we will no longer defend ourselves so we can deprive the nasty arms industry of profits.
