” Among children aged 1 to 9 years, injuries accounted for 63.7 percent of the increase in all-cause mortality in 2021.”
I’d like to know more about this. What types of injuries have increased 63% and killing 1 to 9 year olds?
Indeed. Today's kids are largely coddled and looked after by helicopter parents. Back in the 60s, we had no car seats, no seat belts, no bike helmets, we played with lawn darts and did crazy stuff with bikes similar tools of destruction. Kids today? They stare at screens a lot. So a 63% increase in "injuries" seems odd.
Why confuse facts with the “chicken little” media/government narrative?
Sounds like another propagandized issue being peddled. I do know someone who works with college students. Told me depression and anxiety rates are very high in that group. Also social disconnection and withdrawal. Says recession of 2007-2008, smartphones back in early 2000s, lockdowns are prime contributors. I think there are more factors than that.

“What types of injuries have increased 63% and killing 1 to 9 year olds?”
Perhaps children having a heart attack or stroke while skateboarding is counting as a skateboarding death. Kind of like how anybody with covid that died was counted as a covid death.
