Abrams joining electrification nonprofit as senior counsel

Former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams (D) is set to join electrification nonprofit organization Rewiring America as a senior counsel.

In a news release, Rewiring America said that Abrams, a former House Minority Leader in her home state of Georgia, will use her new role to help launch a national awareness campaign and also a network of communities working together to help Americans go electric.

Abrams will also guide the nonprofit organization as it continues to build the tools and capacity to connect citizens and communities in the U.S. to machines, installers, Inflation Reduction Act incentives, and jobs in the clean energy transition.

I doubt if this job is anything more then a money stream. I can’t see her doing anything that would require actual attendance, particularly 9-5 attendance.

I wondered that, too, but according to Wikipedia her credentials are legit.

A high school valedictorian, BA in interdisciplinary studies from Spelman College, worked for Atlanta mayor Maynard Jackson, interned for the EPA, Master in Public Affairs from University of Texas at Austin, and JD from Yale Law School.

Then she was a tax attorney in Atlanta specializing on tax-exempt organizations.

I'm not defending her, but at from her CV she's no Hunter Biden.

Step 1. Make everything run on electricity.
Step 2. Build no power plants anywhere at any time on any fuel.

Maybe that sells to the bicoastal elites and maybe even the idiots on utility boards of directors. But can it sell to the hoi polloi?
