So, the government now officially sponsors nutrition-bereft high carb, high sodium garbage you wouldn’t feed a stray dog as fit food for the nation’s kids. Now the kids lined up at the cafeteria candy and soda machines will actually be getting more nutrition from the machines than from the lunch staff. Whatever happened to food cooked by the lunch staff right there in the kitchen? All that’s been served there for years has been nuked pre-determined “portions” of breaded high carb high sodium garbage, which usually ended up in the cafeteria garbage cans. The fruit was third rate tiny specimens the size of tennis balls that no housewife would grant a second glance. But they made fine ammo for food fights.
