California's wine industry is on the brink of a financial crisis following the collapse of Silicon Valley Bank.

The bank had been the main financial institution for bank for wineries in the Golden State for almost three decades.

The California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation closed the bank on Friday following a run by venture capital customers.

On Friday night, thousands of wineries found that they were completely locked out of their accounts with no clear timeline as to when they might be able to access their funds.

Kendra Kawala, co-founder of Maker, a canned wine company located in the Bay Area, called the news 'jarring' noting how Silicon Valley Bank was 'the gold standard within the wine industry.'

I wonder if Newsom had his money at SVB. California is in for a rough ride.

if so you can bet he will be counting on his auntie The Mad Queen of Hearts to work with other democraps to push for a bank bailout if only to get their money back.

I wonder what other lovely surprises the Biden utopia will bring us in the coming 2 years, actually most likely 6 years being that the RINO party under Bitch McConnell refuses to even acknowledge election integrity. 3rd world status here we come

Got a chain pizza joint close to us called Mod Pizza......every time we went we had the “House Wine” brand canned wine because that’s all they sold......every time my wife and I would ask each other why we were drinking that nasty 5hit.

Also, had a canned Heineken on a flight one time.....I didn’t think you could ruin a quality beer like that. Really gross

I wonder if that includes Nazi Pelosi and her Union-Free, Illegal Alien staffed winery?

That would be a tragedy ...

One time when my wife and I went there, we stayed in the town of Napa, we hired a private driver for 2 days to take us around, didn’t have to worry about driving and a local driver knew a lot of the smaller boutique wineries that were very good.

Yep, locals are a good resource in a case like that.

We learned while cruising because the ships staff visit the same ports over and over they can be a great source of info for best shops and restaurants in most ports......very invaluable.

...only exception is if we pick up the $2.99 a bottle brand at Aldi.

Last time I was in Trader Joe's, Two Buck Chuck was $3.99 a bottle.

It’s unbelievable these companies, especially these holier than thou libtard companies fascistly pushing their ideas on the country, kept their operating funds in (non insured) banking accounts.

The east end of Long Island has gone winery nuts in the past thirty years. They seem to be everywhere.

If we’re at TJs we’ll pick some of that up but we hit Aldi more frequently......doing the Pepsi challenge with the 3 or 4 dollar wines versus the more expensive stuff most people can’t tell the difference.

So how much did the Pelosi crime family have in SVB? If they had money in there then all that insider trading was wasted. LOL

They funded and were the bank of choice for the VC/Tech engine AND the rich techies with a side business of wine making.

The old, established wineries use real banks.
