Former Vice President Mike Pence delivered his harshest rebuke yet of former President Donald Trump over the weekend for his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Pence made the comments while speaking at the annual Gridiron Club Dinner, a white-tie event thrown by Washington, D.C. journalists and attended by high-profile Beltway figures. The exclusive soiree is known for politicians poking fun at each other and members of the D.C. press corps taking part in skits. This year featured speeches from Pence, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy. The former vice president used the platform to issue his strongest criticism to date of his ex-boss as the two inch toward their anticipated 2024 rivalry.

At least the original Judas hung himself.
Trump is right about January 6 events and election fraud. Pence is turning a blind to the facts.
But Pence is right about his lacking Constitutional authority to block the steal. That was the unfulfilled duty of the courts.
The state legislatures should have acted first.
Pence is as relevant to a political discussion as is Dan Quayle. Just another asterisk in American Political History.
The moment arrived and he walked away from it.
That is the indictment against Pence on this. You can argue all day about whether he could do anything constitutionally to change the outcome, but you cannot argue that there was anything but cowardice stopping him from speaking on the matter.
I would not give a pence for Pence
.
When Pence knows that law enforcement resources were deliberately withheld, he is irresponsible in going down this path.
Jan 6 would never have happened if the government did not want it to happen.

Why lump Dan Quayle in with Mike Pants? Dan Quayle was not a backstabbing punk ass b*tch like Pants. I would take Dan Quayle over Pants in less than a heartbeat.
Re: 29 - that’s easy. Dominic Pezzola.
Down further in this news article is a picture of Pezzola “allegedly” breaking a window with a police shield:
This is the same weasel that brought in Birx and Fauci on the Coronavirus Task Force.
gweniem I,too, never trusted him.
But will they have him?
>> Why lump Dan Quayle in with Mike Pants?
They are two of the five U.S. Vice Presidents from Indiana.
True colors AH!
Has anyone ever thought that Trump or not there are major problems? Never once have you or any other uniparty dipsh**s attempted to address things.
FU dic**ead!
Always was a swamp dweller and probably was cutting Trump at the knees during his entire Presidency.
Half Pence will get one half of 1% of the vote.
Pence caved when liberals bowed up at him while governor of Indiana over some slightly conservative legislation. Pence couldn’t run away from his support of the legislation fast enough.
It was a mistake for candidate Trump to select him as running mate.
To elect Trump, we had to pretend what happened didn’t happen, or didn’t matter. So here we are.
Point taken.
Actually he’s rather shallow.
