Former Vice President Mike Pence delivered his harshest rebuke yet of former President Donald Trump over the weekend for his role in the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
Pence made the comments while speaking at the annual Gridiron Club Dinner, a white-tie event thrown by Washington, D.C. journalists and attended by high-profile Beltway figures. The exclusive soiree is known for politicians poking fun at each other and members of the D.C. press corps taking part in skits. This year featured speeches from Pence, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy. The former vice president used the platform to issue his strongest criticism to date of his ex-boss as the two inch toward their anticipated 2024 rivalry.

Trump is right about January 6 events and election fraud. Pence is turning a blind to the facts.
But Pence is right about his lacking Constitutional authority to block the steal. That was the unfulfilled duty of the courts.
Gridiron?
Pence is good at own goals.
“I think Pence’s career died when he was so boring as Trump’s VEEP, no one could remember his name.”

A lot of people in this country can’t identify who a VP is. While that’s normally inexcusable, in Pence’s case its entirely forgivable.
You’d think the fake media would out him but they know he is one of them.
Trump should pick up that name for pence.
Mikey, your time is up.
Not sure what Pence is trying to accomplish here, but if his goal is be despised equally by both the Left and the Right, he’s scored.
I detest both with the aid of hindsight. And both wear their Christianity front and center while innocent folks rot in the DC Gulags. On the last day, I hope and pray I am found not to be this type of Christian.
PDJT has forever opened my eyes to the scum infesting the USG.
Yes it will. I recall Pence promising to go to congress and demand an accounting for the “questions” he had concerning the election.
Jan 6 came around & he threw it to the rats, enraging the crowd.
But Pence is right about his lacking Constitutional authority to block the steal.

While it was unrealistic for people to expect him to overturn the election Pence made no effort to highlight the myriad voting “irregularities” that severely eroded people’s confidence in our elections. There were problems and he largely ignored them, along with their implications for future elections. He had a brief (and historic) “bully pulpit” opportunity to encourage the country to clean up the system. His refusal to do so was simply inexcusable.
The moment arrived and he walked away from it.
If the media outed Pence as gay, his career would blossom.
no kidding...guess he doesn’t have to fake it anymore
Pence might have been one of the spies.
Pence should neck himself
Pence is loaded with illusions of grandeur. It should be known that most Americans have little regard for traitorous bastards, so its time for Pence to take a f’n hike, his disloyalty is no longer needed.
“I do believe if one constructed the now famous Ven diagram between these two there would be a lot in common.”

I want to hear Kamala describe how Venn diagrams are used for calculating probabilities. Without cackling.
If the media outed Pence as gay, his career would blossom.

Don’t give him any ideas.
And history repeats itself again.
I don’t get Trump! Just last week, he defended Pence (for someone reason) saying that he was an “honorable man”, yet he constantly attacks DeSantis, unprovoked.
Pence obviously has no loyalty to Trump, but he is certainly delusional if he thinks he will get one vote from anyone outside of his immediate family!
